Auto docking is perfectly fine. As long as ship warps in 15km of station and slowboats to dock range. In any case flying auto pilot is suicide. Low sec - everyone will feel the duty to destroy autopiloted ship. High sec - some people will feel the duty to destroy autopiloted ship, for the lulz.

Set you AP to a less crowded system as destination.. no ganks.
As for Autodocking - no. Warping automatically to any celestial/station at the end of an AP run, maybe. But not Autodocking. Stay there and wait in parking orbit.

Unlike all other gamemakers, CCP is willing to bend over backwards for a few pirates and griefers, enough to deny basic conveniences that make a better game to the majority player base. Otherwise we would've had autopilot warping to zero instead of 15km long ago.

That's the point. You can't actually get any prey under those terms because nobody will use it unless in highsec with no cargo. This is the pitfall all those fail pirate-wannabes fell into while opposing autopiloting to zero. Had it been implemented, there will be occasionally be someone who don't come back before autopilot reaches destination, resulting on afk at gate. Now, everyone stay while traveling, for mind-numbing boredom. Bad for everyone, benefits no one.

Don't be stupid, don't fly AFK with valuable cargo in your cargohold. Something akin to leaving your car unguarded in the Bronx with a couple laptops in the back seat.

Flying AP with a valuable cargo is stupid and you deserve death. But sometimes you jus are travelling for some reason, with no cargo a long journey. You set the safe route and is 30 jumps long. When you arrive to the system is useless to be afk at the gate. I think that you can dock the same way as you travel trough gates. Stopping warp jump 15 km before reaching the gate/station. But the behaiviour I expect from "set destination" to a stiation is to END, almost, outside the station.

What part of warping to zero for 15 jumps in a freighter classes as "playing" the game? You have no strategies to ponder, no tactics to employ, it's just 15 repetitions of "right click, select jump, wait, right-click, select WTZ, wait a few minutes".
The only deviation from the predestined program is if someone ganks you. The freighter can't cloak, can't burn back to the gate with reppers running, can't do anything.
While it may seem to you that allowing autopilot to dock at the end of the flight is the game "playing itself", what the suggestion actually achieves is less bother leaving more time for getting housework done, leaving more time for actually playing the game. Having a freighter dock itself in the same way it's just been flying itself on autopilot means you still have a chance to gank that target.
Of course, if the real reason for WT-15 autopilot was to allow people a chance to gank it, the autopilot would decloak and sit on the gate for a minute before warping to zero on the next gate.
Sorry gankers, you'll just have to scan freighters before they arrive in Jita, and perhaps suicide gank the ship while it's preparing to warp off the gate in a lower-sec system such as Uedama.

As long as the auto-dock only warps to 15km and has to fly to the station to dock, then yes, this is perfectly acceptable. I do think that using autopilot in most circumstances IS suicide though. High-sec pirates will gank you anyway if you're carrying something valuable enough, Low-sec pirates will gank you for being present in system, and null sec... If you're on autopilot there you're either part of an alliance or purposely committing suicide. It's only a matter of time before they remove autopilot (except for course plotting).
