Hi,
This also happened during the last patch but my fix hasn't worked this time. On two seperate computers with the same OS and GFX drivers (but nothing else) when I patch the client it breaks. I cannot get past the 5th Bulk Data packet and the client closes and then reloads again.
Renaming Cache/ Settings/ Eve Folder/ Full Deletion/ Reinstalling and patching doesn't work. I have 7 hours to go for the full client to download.
If you have any ideas apart from what I've already listed please pass em on. With my internet downloading the full client each time is an option, but it would be ****ing annoying.

Downloaded the full latest client. Still doesn't work and the client still crashes on the 5th bulkdata packet
If comeone could upload the correct bulk data I'd appreciate it. While this seems like a cache/settings issue even after they've been deleted there is the same problem. Its almost like I'm recieving badpackets or corrupt data.
When I uninstalled this install it crashed when trying to remove the settings and cache. Very strange.

Hello,
for me, disabling a torrent program in another computer using the same router fix the problem. The sound or old game cache seems not to be the problem. Now I can enter the game without problems.

tried all above for 2 days. if i dont get on soon my 4 accounts will go bye bye!!!!!!!!

Hello, After trying everything I could think of, I then tried what you suggested, and even that didn't work until I did it 'properly', not by copy+pasting the entire 249 folder, but copy+pasting all the the little sub files into the right places. Not sure if that was really it or a combination of other things. Long story short : it now works and I love you Thank-you for the solution, I was afraid I'd have to weather the forum rage until another patch appeared on the horizon

I used to have this problem EVERY time ccp did a new mirror or i installed for a new test cient etc.
I ended up getting past it by usng the game log thingy. while it was runnign it woulod eventually get past bulk data 5 and occasionally another one.

Would you be able to post the bulkdata form the test server.....?? i get to 9/64 then it restarts the client..

For me disabling my torrent software helped. It still took the client 50 seconds to load 3 MB over a 100 MBit connection...
You can check for progress by looking at the size of the above mentioned macho net folder

good job on working on it, but why cant we download this temporary fix? i havent been able to login for a week on both my accounts.
since they ninja edit, can i get an email? [email protected] (hope this doesnt break any TOS or anything)

Is this fair when some people can't log in? I do not see the negative effects of leaving this file linked so people can download.

Not when the client is corrupt for every download, direct or through the ccp downloader.
