FOF missiles are for use when your ship is unable to target the enemy, be it due to sensor damps or ecm. They will automatically select a target once you activate your launchers.
They deal less damage than normal missiles, generally for pvp since that is where you are most likely to be jammed.

Do note that they chase only the closest target, so getting any use out of them in PvP might be very tricky :) ---[center] Please resize your signature to the maximum file size of 24000 bytes. Zymurgist |

fof = ****ing offensive failure. Even in a pvp fight they will most likely target the light drones aggroing you than the falcon jamming you..

Yeah, might be quite hard to project the damage unto the jammer but the best bet is to just ram your ship next to the jammer and firing the FOF, once was almost able to take out a falcon with these until 2 of his friends showed up at the last minute :D

FoF missiles will happily shoot Friend or Foe.
Enemies? If they're close by. Corpies? No problem. Perfectly harmless structures? You bet! The exact target you want taken out? Meh, not so much.
FoF missiles will usually go after the nearest *anything* that won't get you CONCORDed.
If you can get a target lock at all, regular missiles are the way to go. If you're absolutely perma-jammed, get close and let loose the FoF. _______________________________

Years ago I tried them, me and a buddy warped into a mission, he locked the rat, I opened fire with F.O.F missiles, I hit him, Concorde turned up and hit me.
I never used F.O.F again. --
