Okay, let me start with wow, impressive and so on and move on to the point.
I assume the new character creation has to do with Incarna and that thats the reason why we will have to go re-create our characters in the future.
I updated my sisi and tried the character creation and gave up creating a new character within 5 minutes.
My points of view and first impressions are:
* There's a lack of racial characteristics. In the old character creation a Minmatar had typical Minmatar characteristics.
* The characters look like plastic toys
* The male characters easily look extremly gay
* What do guys know about eyebrowes, lipcolor and so on? Guys should first view some Brittkneegirl1 make-up instruction videos on youtube before they should continue creating their character.
* 30.000 players online I predict that guys will easily give up creating their character, like "**** it" wich will result that alot of the 30.000 players will look pretty similar.
My Advise: * Character creation should start randomised in order to prevent that everyone will look pretty the same (the "**** it" factor)
* Add automation in creating characteristics. If you are a minmatar you should automaticly be forced to create a character with minmatar bloodline characteristics.
** Automation will help to prevent the "**** it factor" and so guys will be willing to invest more time to create their looks better.
* Fix the gay factor
My notes are meant to be as positive remarks not as being negative.

You're right, he does. As a lesbian, I am deeply offended and demand the removal of his offensive comments and shoddy attempts to dodge the word filter via mispelling.
also, post in feedback thread, not here.

I realize it's easy to miss the stickied threads, but there is one for Character Creation.
That's where the specific Dev(s) will actually look.

The best thing about that Brittkneegirl1 profile page was the following comment:
padawon88 (17 hours ago) i want to make intercourse with your bottom hole

The bloodlines still correspond to the same real-world racial morphologies the old avatars did, they're just no longer caricatures thereof.
Here is a ten-minute reproduction of your current avatar, if that's what you were trying to do. Since alt-tabbing currently breaks the lighting, I did my best from memory.
Of course, tattoos, skin tone control, and more hairstyles will permit closer results, when available.
Originally by: Extreme * The characters look like plastic toys
Compared to the ones we've had since 2003? Really?
Originally by: Extreme * The male characters easily look extremly gay
Which means...?
You say that as if it's an ethnicity with its own morphological features.
Originally by: Extreme * What do guys know about eyebrowes, lipcolor and so on?
Presumably as much as any human in possession of these features. Such as the knowledge that people possess differently shaped and composed eyebrows, and differently colored lips. Yes, even without tweezers or makeup. Go figure.
Originally by: Extreme * 30.000 players online I predict that guys will easily give up creating their character, like "fokk it" wich will result that alot of the 30.000 players will look pretty similar.
I predict that there will be a 'randomize' button, if not some selectable preset templates, to utilize by launch.
If there isn't, then I predict you're right, yet I also predict that this is their choice.

I honostly bellieve when people 'RTFM' that character creation will be more clear. My point is however that the majority won't read any manual and that's why i made my "5 minute impression" report.
The 5 minute impression of a game is a crucial moment.
A sidenote to all the emo rage responds is that i ended my post with, quote: "My notes are meant to be as positive remarks not as being negative." /unquote so it never was intended to offend any human group. . .

Another comment i would like to make is:
I play Eve since Beta and since 2003 my nickname is "the pervert horns" because of my 2003 created character.
The new character creation lacks Horns!
Devs should create a tool that can/will "scan" your 2003 character and will help you reshape your 2010 model looking like your old one.
2010 characters are fine for Caldari, Gallente and Amarrians but i am Minmatar Minmatars don't use Barbie make-up! . .

I borrowed Lord Wamphiry's character creation to make my point more clear.
Let me note that i have nothing against gay people, not at all.
Please let me make my point:
This *created character* itself looks like a tough guy, so far so good.
Here come's my point: In Incarna i assume we will be able to walk in a virtual world. With my comment about characters will more or like look the same and including with my "fix the gay factor" in mind imagine this:
Taking Lord Wamphiry's character as example, in Incarna, dressed in Black Leather in a bar somewhere in Incarna with 35 other "same styled" characters,.... Gaybar?

Edited by: Talin on 14/10/2010 16:14:50 I just figured I'd throw this out there.
This took me all of 15 minutes to craft. I think its a fairly good facsimile of your current character, minus the Tattoo's which CCP has said will come along later, and the 'Pervert horns'.
Extreme
Though I do get your point about everyone having the same look. That will correct itself with time though. I'm sure CCP has a **** tone of clothing they aren't showing us, that will probably be need to be crafted and bought from players.
Who knows maybe that will be an added component to Planetary Interaction.

I guess he means that male characters look feminine and shiny. I don't like it either but Ill give it more thought once I see if there are more variations.

Well, it's kinda funny you should say that.. as I'd probably be found drinking in one in RL.. hell if Backdoor Bandit creates a bar in Incarna I'll probably be found in there as well!

Unfortunately, that doesn't lead to the post making any more sense.

If that's your concern, yeah, no problem.
