i am looking to get a new laptop to better fit my needs. i am looking for long battery life, able to get more than 20 FPS in eve with min settings, light, portable, and windows 7 home premium or better (i do not want starter). the asus 1215n seems to fit the bill quite well. anyone have any input on the 1215n? how long does your battery last when just running a word processor on minimum power settings, or eve online, or an snes emulator?
on a related note, batteries need to get way better. batteries are the main thing holding back portable computing (heat dissipation comes in on a close second).

I think to get decent performance you need to spend big, heat will always be an issue, I don't know what your budget is but if you enough cash go for a Mac Book Pro, not cheap though, I use a Win 7 rig for gaming but have a MBP for general computing, email browsing etc, it runs eve fine it's not going to break any records but good enough to get things done, never used it in a large fleet fight though and tbh I wouldn't like to.
Playing devils advocate would also mean I have to say what you would pay for a entry level MBP will buy you a hefty Win 7 laptop.
Just throwing it out there.

no macs, no windows XP, no windows 7 starter, and no windows OS who shall not be named. also the 1215n is about $500, which for a netbook is expensive. and it can switch seamlessly between power efficient intel graphics and gaming nvidia graphics. also its light and portable, because i am getting tired of lugging around my 15 inch.
