Edited by: Xanos Blackpaw on 21/10/2010 18:01:10 We all remember boot.ini right?
The Eve Online patch that removed the computers boot file if you ran win xp?
Now wow got something even more annoying.
Imagen if you lost your connection every time you docked, undocked or jumped. And every time a mission runner activated a warp gate his computer locked up and have to be rebooted by the power button.
Thats whats happening in wow for many thousands of players atm!
The patch 4.0.0 brought in many new things for the new expansion, new talent trees and such but it also made the game unplayable for many thousands of people.
Everytime you zone or activate a world item your game crash or disconnect.
...and here is the kicker...
They wont even admit the issue exist.
Petitions get answered with a copy paste and when a blue poster finally answer in the forum the link he post go to a completely different topic.
I have played wow on and off for several years, mostly to get away from the cut throat nature of eve and I subed to try out the new talent trees and such.
But that's quite enough of that.
I rather pay for a game from a game company that care about the customers.
EvE Online for the win!

All I got from reading this was that you play wow and that makes you into a 'point and laugh' mark as well. |

A patch changing system files compared to a patch which occasionally disconnects you from a dungeon is so obviously less annoying .

My buddy is having more than "occasional disconnects". He's literally being booted every time he zones into anything, zones across continents, hovers over a mage table, pvp flag, and some other interactive objects. The game is unplayable for him right now.
At least with the boot.ini if you called tech support you could have your system up and running in no time with no real issues afterward.

This is the problem people is having. When calling tech support we get the 'delete WTF, Interface and Chach files' and then we are basicly told its out ISP that we should reinstal.
None of these things help anyone.
They basiclly pretend the problem dont exist, thats whats worst, Not that it exist, everyone do a bad patch from time to time.
But then pretending it dont exist... ________________________________________________ Tau - Yeah we suck in close combat. To bad you will never get there. For the greater good!!

WTF is a wow?
Is it like a Justin Bieber? or is it like BIE?
I like BIE but I don't know what a Justin Bieber is.

Wow's new patch broke a lot of technical stuff. They're not admitting it because i suspect that their datacenters are at fault.
At least in Europe they (Telia) have been acting up even more than usual in the last few months.
