With proportional thumb/trough sizes in the scrollbar, the logical behaviour for at least one type of mouse click, ideally left-mouse, would be to do this - allowing for rapid and precise paging through long scrollable window content. It's mostly what happens in Windows, MacOSX, most Unix/Linux apps, so why not Eve?
how is that a bug. do you even know what a bug means?

Moon, you're right, if it's done intentionally that way, it's not a bug. However, the original poster has a valid point - More precise page control, you can quickly scan down without the fear of missing anything. Take a look at your C: drive, then click on the Windows folder and start scrolling down. Excel does the same thing, so does PDF and the list goes on...

Edited by: Tiger''s Spirit on 30/10/2010 05:09:22 This is a Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V patch ? :DDDDDD Feel the different.
Patch notes for Tyrannis 1.1 Deployed Saturday, October 2, 2010
User Interface * When opening the scanner the alert sound is no longer played. * Windows will now retain their correct size when you open and close them. * You can now view member hangars through the corporate hangar as intended. * Hiding passive modules in the HUD no longer hides all modules. * In the sovereignty dashboard only the first word in the location name was displayed. This has been fixed and the full name is shown correctly. * Resolved an issue where corporations who were part of an alliance had blue alliance stars against corporation members. The correct green star will show for corporation members. * If you moved a window half way off the screen it would bounce back into full view when you opened a new window. This has been fixed. * Certifications now show the level required for component skills. * Chat channels will no longer reset to the default positions every time the client is restarted. * Chat channel logs now show the channel name again as originally intended.

It is nice to see CCP fixes things now and then - and not just implement new stuff that is broken.
More fixes like this would be wonderful keep it up!

Sacrifices fully t2 fitted Drake to ancient gods of eve in hope that 1.2 will work and we dont need more then 4 patches for it to be usefull...
Just wondering why they cant for example release fix on rockets balasing same way as small patches to iterate it to level where devs feel theyre balanced....

Yes it will. Especially EFT as it will need to add all the faction items to it's list, and hopefully every item will also have it's game description listed too.
Erh? Are there more faction items than the ones listed when you click the faction tab at the bottom of the list?

since they're major-updating their database logic i don't expect a smooth patchday. (was there any?) they're changing the way the server handles YOUR assests. the kacke might hit the fan if ccp messes this job up. i'll plug a longtime skill, and ... relax

While this is being listed as a change to the inventory system, I'm forced to wonder, just in case, whether this will effect the max D-scan range as well, considering it's currently limited by max-integer. |

Edited by: Cresalle on 31/10/2010 22:31:19 Patch notes failed to mention upgrades to the planets UI.
* Selecting a process from an industry facility no longer uses a crappy drop-down list, but simply a scrolling list as is sensible.
* You can now create an outgoing route directly from an incoming route (go the the routes menu and select an incoming route) rather than waiting for the first load of materials to land and then routing from inventory.
These fix my 2 biggest gripes with the planet UI. Looking forward to learning to deal with the ECU/depletion mechanic.
Good work.

You've always been able to do this. I've been doing since day one (well, day two when I figured out I could do that).

Not in this release, we are still testing those fixes.
So did I understand correctly: the eve-mail editor stays to be an unusable feature, and we continue to have to rely on notepad as an eve-mail editor?
When can we expect the fix to happen then? Never as with some other bugs?

I personally have faith in CCP. They make mistakes in their patches, but what developer doesn't?
There hasn't been one online MMO or FPS I've played (that gets updated reguarly), that never has bugs one way or another when it gets patched.
I do hope the editors (bio, evemail and bulletins) get fully fixed soon. My last bulletin took a good 20 minutes and I had to keep posting it, essentially to "save" it, to avoid ****ing it up completely.

Because the small patches was client side just affecting us clients. The rocket balancing would need to be server-side meaning a lot of more time taken to release and testing it before launch.
The issues that some may have gotten during patches was not game breaking or something that would destroy a database like a server side upgrade may do.
