I smiled in slight amusement when I first saw this ... then it dawned on me .. you really are so idiotic that you are serious.
Everyone in that LXQ2 on Saturday was there through choice .. over a thousand others would have been there if they could have got in. It wasn't an accident. We had goals we wished to achieve and we are AMAZED that CCP did so WELL in keeping the game from crashing while we tried to achieve them. NC wanted that station for our own reasons. The Droneland alliances didn't want to lose it for theirs. CCP enabled us to pit our wills against each other and on that one evening, the NC prevailed, despite tremendous effort and tremendous RISK by our opponents.
That EVE has layers of gameplay that you don't value does not negate its value to thousands who participated yesterday. You are flying with some guys who have risked everything on a single engagement ... put their entire isk resource in ships they couldn't hope to replace and used them with finesse and with bluff to create the reputation that goes with that alliance ticker you wear. Go and achieve something with them .. and risk ANYTHING ... in your new alliance before you come back and say something less pathetic.
Well done CCP and the teams working on game stability. Looking forward to see how much further you can push it, as we'll always be there finding the edge of performance.

Well IT players were blaming lag for being too scared to jump their 500 into our 50, then calling us cowards for not jumping into them.

The old theory that even if CCP would fix lag, the players would find new ways to whine about it, has been found true: CCP makes it possible to put much more people in a single system, and what the blobbers do? "Hey, let's call more people into the fight!". --------------------------

Northern Coalition wanted that station. Drone Alliances wanted that station. Both alliances were able to titan portal reinforcments into system. Both did right as the station came out of its final reinforced timer. Am I correct that your answer is that we should have brought less people committed to taking the station?
There were nearly 100 supercaps logged out in that system. There were many more able to jump in if the gameplay had been conducive to it.
Look at the station's location on the map and on Drone Alliances bridge maps. Its the single most strategic node in their space .. and single most strategic node for any attacker.
All those people on both sides generate vast quantities of isk. The two sides gross monthly income is measured in Trillions of isk - look again at your alliance's gross monthly product. We are spending it arm wrestling each other for OUR enjoyment - we aren't spending it on you as that wouldn't be good game content for us.
DKOD spent years in one of the largest alliances in the game .. one whose RMT activities is legendary, whose leaders have been caught more than once asking for out of game rewards in exchange for in game favours. The recent disintegration of your former alliance is in no small part due to that blackhole of isk. A carebear haven to keep that isk coming in has been part of its ethos since it was created. NC and Drones don't claim to be any better than your former alliance .. but we are certainly no worse. The huge difference is we choose to spend our isk fighting an opponent we risk losing to.
So what exactly are you bringing to this thread apart from whinage? What should those two coalitions have done differently to take or hold that station that fits YOUR vision of the game you want us to play. Where is the risk in your gameplay?

Err... So what I said is actually true is what you saying? And, hey, if you guys like being stuck in space for 30 mins, to later wake up in a cloning vat, that's cool too. That's probably some great game content, I'm sure. --------------------------

This basically just proves Eve players behave like a gas. The number of players will increase to fill any available server resources.
