Suggestion: Remove the "new topic" button from everywhere apart from the list of topics section within a subforum.
That'd save those with chronic hand/eye coordination some face. |

Why? Chribba's never done anything for me, and I don't think he supports anything I give a **** about.
Infact, I really have no reason to vote in the CSM period, when was the last time they managed to get something done that CCP wasn't going to do anyway?

I find that hard to believe. You never used eve-search, eve-offline, eve-files or eve-agents?
Oh well, if that's the case, you're in for a treat, go check it out :)

I'd vote for him.
I don't want to ruin the guy by making him deal with CCP and players thinking he'll make them all happy and give them a pony.

Since i don't believe the CSM actually has any sway over CCP, my selection for CSM candidates is now based entirely on who is more likely to leak information they aren't supposed to share. Needless to say, Chribba doesn't fall under that category.

You think those sites exist for charity (probably at the begin)? I tend to believe that Chribba is as wealthy in Eve as in real life...
I say only Google ads, referral payouts etc... He feeds from Eve, Veldspar and Eve players therefore winning the end game.

I just used alexa to check eve-search page vieuws a day if you wanna see for yourself check here
and this is how alexa describes the average visitor for eve-search:
Quote: Audience Snapshot Top Search Queries for Eve-search.com
Based on internet averages, eve-search.com is visited more frequently by males who are in the age range 18-24, have no college education and browse this site from home.
but yeah he got a few thousand vieuws a day I gues alexa isn't giving precise numbers only %

he would favor a lot of "commodity minded" policies which would in the scheme of things slow the pace of this game down. on the surface to very many people under 30 (or even older) that would seem "bad." but in reality that is exactly what this game needs (badly!). that and the legend of his name alone screams CSM Elder.
supported.

eve-offline.net is run by Chribba, eve-offline.com is not. ----------

CCP welcomes you to this first meeting for those new to the CSM.
Now down to business, the first items on your CSM agenda, let's see are:
1. Veldspar 2. Veldspar 3. Veldspar 4. ...
Best CSM ever.

If Chribba ever ran, he'd win in a landslide. We know that. But im pretty sure Chribba once said he doesn't plan on running for CSM. Also, ib4c --------------------------------- Pillage, then burn. Everything is air-droppable at least once. There is no 'overkill.' There is only 'open fire' and 'time to reload.

Here's how a Chribba-led CSM would have played out over the last five years (had the CSM wielded any real power):
1) The value of "money." In a Chribba-world, the PLEX market would pretty much have crashed quite a while back. See, in the "fiat currency" era which is what we're experiencing in this game right now, ISK is King but ISK is generally too easy to come by. Chribba would have supported real value for ore, which is then tied to whatever is produced by the ore, and generally there would be less ISK "in the system."
2) Production and invention would be more worthwhile by a greater segment of the game population. When you spend time and resources to make things from a smaller pool of commodity-backed ISK, your efforts are truly valued, unlike right now in a free-floating ISK world that is EVE right now.
3) Macro-miners. Now they've even branched out into NPC goods. In a Chribba-world, minerals and trading in general would have been too valuable for the Developers not to do something once and for all about it. Remember, in Chribba-world, commodity-backed ISK is king, and macro-commodity farming would actually have been dealt with.
4) The total of all content added in all these years would have been focused inward. Tired of seeing all the whines about "why are you adding bull**** content when important things about this game are still borked?" In a commodity-intensive economy, players will be more concerned with the value of what they actually have and can be expected to have. That means, they would place more value on the ships/modules/cargo/POSs that they own. CCP would have to focus their content efforts on actually fixing what is wrong with those things, immediately.
No borking-in-stations. No PI, no stupid things like that. They would have actually fixed what matters first.
Prologue: Sadly, we live "in the real world." CCP is only a puppet of a board of directors that can only want more subscriptions. Normally, the tactics that get the subscriptions is a mixture of mindless, unfinished, and unnecessary content. This is in addition to the encouragement of free-floating ISK, backed by nothing, and targeted at only inflating prices for often times worthless products (witness Electronic Attack Frigates valued at $18M just one example.)
So while someone could sit back with a cherrywood pipe in hand, swishing an aged scotch in a crystal snifter, and stroking his beard saying "Gfaw, a Chribba World is only the fancy of child-men!" I would say that the game world laid out before us is far, far more of a failure.

Veldspar would also blot out the shade. You couldn't even mine there. No room in anywhere your miningeddon just bounces around off rocks.

I can see this horrifying future now
Incarna patch notes: -Due to CSM pressure, the entire Amarr system has been replaced by a giant veldspar asteroid. Enjoy!
For srs though, chribba hosts our files, makes the forums genuinely searchable, acts as a third-party for transactions of all sorts and is generally a pretty cool guy who deserves e-respect, he does enough for the people of eve already without having to argue with CCP about lag and so forth on our behalf _____________________ Horrors! While trust isn't necessarily necessary for a CSM, there are others that are trustworthy also. Not that I wouldnt like to stalk him in real life or anything.
