GF to all involved, it was blobby but cool
2010.11.06 10:46 Mailbox flashed bright. A corporate mail came in detailing that a Caldari pos was being put into RF by gallenteans the day before, While finished secretly moving into the new area of operations the nights before, we called in a CTA to help Snake with this one.
Temporary Blues where agreed upon.
2010.11.06 17.30 Corp chat sprang into live with each pilot logging in, another member for our Dominix-Phoon Ball of Tears. 30 minutes to go until it exited the RF timer, we moved out. Being scouted ahead we nearly lost a armageddon because apperantly the gallente fleet was moving right behind us. To all our luck all battleships where preserved for the fight. While the gallente fleet was moving to destination system, we quietly followed them waiting for our chance to come into the system, during this we ganked a few of the gallentean straglers.
2010.11.06 18.30 Pos out of RF, action straight of the bat, Gallente fleet warps in close to the bottom group of Gun batteries and began pounding it, local rising to 110 people at this point. Swiftly the combined caldari fleet made up of Russians, Militia men and Our own corp entered system. With our corporate alt we got a nice warp in on the gallente combat group that would put the most of their ships a considerable amount distance out of their own optimal, while we had no problems with this.
Drones where being launched and began pounding away on the primary and secondary targets. During this we found ourselves in the company of an archon, who made it look like it would be a hard one for us this time. But alas the archon magicly dissapeared according to my ship scanners, so we continued the fight.
Ships where popping all over the place, even one of our own ships was on the brink of exploding but was nicely saved by the insane rep power of the Domi/Phoon corp gang. With the arrival of draketrain to the scene the fight was already pretty much over, some local trolls popped out of their cave and a random GF appeared on local because one side blobbed the other, that's eve for you these days.
Round #2 Sending Alt troughout all the system gallente live in and store assets, activity seemed pretty low, until we got reports from their militia chat that they said they weren't done yet. While meanwhile our damnation pilot + dominix pilot logged off, we stood at the pos waiting for the next wave of gallente pew pew to hit the tower, while meanwhile desperate attempt where being made to rep the ForceField.
Localspike. big one, there they where again Local count at top: 170 +/-
Enemy warps in at 70km twice, Once again our corp alt scanned that spot down pretty fast, having 10 probes out covering the pos, it was not hard to scan them down and prepare for a possible ambush. Enemy fires away, sniper fits this time, with 6 guardians flying alongside them, ouch.
Cat and mouse play ensues, while almost being warped out of the pos multiple times by Snake who thought it was funny to fleet warp we sat still observing enemy movement, suddenly they warped to 0km on the pos??? with a sniper fleet? I quickly give the order to burn towards the egde of the pos shields and get ready for Snakes fleet to land on the pos again. When all people where at the party, we raced outside the shields put out high damage drones and began chewing away their ships, which was rather unsuccesfull until i think the ecm got their jams of and the 6 guardians melted 1 by one, leaving 2 of them only to escape their fate. After their logistics where killed, it was a turkey shoot, people where dying so fast I couldnt keep track anymore of who was primary and who not. Another random number of GF from the gallente side was heard in local. Questions started popping up in channels to ask how much we got payed to show up to help the squids we all had a good laugh about that for a minute or two while we move back and head home after a gf.

Draep was late from the party by couple of minutes as usual due to 0.0 roam. Horrible lag in Hasmijaala when jumping in, at least for us (some even crashed). Hence we had to warp 400km off the fight to load grid properly before warping closer and by then most gallente were fleeing so we got into exactly two kills

Hell yeah - IMO, if it wasn't for the 8th, the caldari wouldn't have stood a chance. I can see why BI-PO had trouble with you! We couldn't break you and you had heavy DPS on us.
Again - the above is meant as a compliment and just my opinion, we'll never know for sure.

Edited by: Idicious Lightbane on 06/11/2010 23:35:45 Agreed it was a great fight, need to point out Gallente was outnumbered 2/1 in both fights and we came out ontop isk wise first fight, second you indeed slaughtered us, all in all you came out just a bit ontop, in no ways one-sided. Just to set it straight we went back to close range BS (many still had in system from first fight) when we warped to 0 to the POS second fight.
Props to you guys and hoping for more of the same soon
Also the joint fleet against R&K was fun which happened a bit afterwards.

Just a quick write-up from the gallente perspective:
We got our fleet together and started heading out for Has, at the start of the engagement we were fairly optimistic as primaries were melting and things were looking good. 8th order came in and damage started slowing down from our side, once draketrain came in the order was giving to warp out. We came out ontop that fight but ofc you guys had held the POS.
We were ordered to reship into Snipe BS's since we knew we couldn't win in a closerange brawl, we were afraid we'd be caught on the entry gate but suprisingly it was clear, how-ever draketrain was cutting off any re-inforcements behind is. We did a few warps to the POS, killed several ships that were outside shields and kept going for the POS to counter-act the reps.
We had to continually warp out because we knew you were getting warp-ins on us, FC decided to get back into close range BS and go for it. You guys landed on us and pretty much ****d us then.
We were going to come back with a 30 man RR domi gang for lulz on a pretty much suicide mission but then R&K showed up

good fight, surprised as hell the node lagged as badly as it did with less than 150 in local the first fight. :CCP: really fail post-dominion, I thought being in low sec we'd be relatively lag free (excluding the fights with carriers and fighter spam). Luckily locking still worked as I got our structure tanking Domi locked up at 40% hull after which others must have too and we got him back to full armour.
Bit surprised caps weren't brought in by Gallente as imo even dropping 1 triage carrier could've turned the tide for them, at the risk of losing 20% of the total isk they lost (with insurance reducing that to even less). Glad to see they seem to have cut down on it though as when I played in caldari last year they were being dropped on as much as 5 man Cruiser roams. But back on topic - good fight, wish I had been there for round 2 as well!

lol, 8th order weren't chased out of Minmatar militia. They left so they wouldn't get standings hits when attacking Minmatar militia. We decided on a mutual blue because we figured it'd be funny, after having fought each other for over a year on the Caldari/Gallente conflict to fight vs certain Minmatar together. After they won the Bi-polar war they rejoined militia and I started getting drama from Amarr militia over keeping them blue. Bacardi then took 8th out of Minmatar militia so we could still be blue and gank Matar together, without my corp getting *****ed at by Amarr. Since we were having fun together we merged and moved back to Caldari/Gallente conflict (mostly cause Minmatar were no longer a challenge and their core corp, IFW, were just boring to fight and became far too predictable).
That's all there is to it.

Hi Vyktor here,
It makes me sad on a personal level that people have these perceptions and misconceptions.
I don't think its worth responding to such claims other than to say 8th has not been chased anywhere, we (well mainly Bacardi) took decisions such as dropping miltia because in FW when you RR a corpmate it causes faction standing losses if they are an outlaw.
We took the descision to go outlaw, and now we've taken the descision to help our old enemy *spits* the Caldari, in order to get some fun fights.
I get sad and upset when people (on both sides) slate eachother with such vehemence over some exploding pixels.
Can't we all just make love? Respect to whoever wins the fights or loses. Cheers.

I only need to mention something that hasn't already been said about good fights etc.
We have been heavily outnumbered, I'm really surprised we didn't take a total beating considering the odds.
Regardless, I log in, Hasm local has 45, most of which are MC. Who knows how many billions snake has already paid out for 8th order support, drake train help, the neutral shield reppers for his pos etc.
Also, if your pos is still there by monday morning (late us TZ), you wont have support form the hordes of the caldari militia to help you during the week.
And just to finalize, we will not be using caps, as this is all an obvious trap.
See you on the battlefield (hopefully if you haven't paid off even more people to save your ass).

Lol just give you a quick reality check, thanks for stroking our epeens for us btw, and we were not paid. I don't know how angry you are that a 15 man bs gang changed the outlook of the battle, but we were paid, not in isk, but in killmails, something held in higher regard to us than petty isk. And so long as caldari promise us a good fight to be had at the defense of their pos, you can count on us being there.

Edited by: Idicious Lightbane on 07/11/2010 22:10:54 Well that was interesting, PL hotdropped supercaps onto MC's supercaps, between 30-40 supercaps at a certain point I believe in system and a titan, which I asume was sitting at a POS.
The engagement was over quickly between Gallente and Caldari, we simply didn't have the numbers to take them on, respect for you dedication there, you really pulled out serious numbers there. Local peaked at 330 with PL in system I believe.

They did pop Snake's chimera. And then lost Hel for it.
I'm sure it was worth it. So who hired who?
Anyway, the POS must cost like 200-300m (pardon if i'm wrong, i'm not too familiar with posses). And several capitals and battleship fleets have been lost over it. Meat grinder keeps on grinding.

Its good to see you seem so happy damar, you finally won a fight against gallente.
It only took you 200 people behind your back, PL support (they weren't shooting you), and everything that you could possibly have to support you to do it!
I mean... it was stupid of us to go into hasm at all with that much **** going on, so we got what we wanted: a fight. Too bad we got ****d for it.
Also, AFAIK, no one of us paid MC, they lost the hel when they cynoed it into their staging pos, when it got tackled by PL. So they said when I asked.
Maybe all this will liven up caldari militia and we can get back to old times of us killing your hordes, although the prospect of fighting 100 man drake fleets with scimitar support does not make me happy.

Finally.
After all, I am the sole mover and shaker in our low-sec area and I have PL at my leash and alliances collapse if I so wish. Or perhaps you are just giving me way too much credit and taking your frustration out on most obvious target...
As I said to your overkill comment: "It was not an overkill, it was just a massive cluster****" where we came on top this time. Well, i'm heading to bed now and waiting for the next RF timer as I have no doubt you will shoot it there in a bit (unless you shoot it down during the night....)

There was so many ships because it was assumed that Merc Corp was there to support the Gallente. It rather appears they were just hoping for some easy ganks (having 9 SC + a Titian in system at one point). Meaning if they were it would of been Caldari whom was greatly out numbed as Gal/Min would of had many caps on the field and possibly backed by MC supper carriers for all we knew..
Instead MC was there for random ganks (even killed a Cal carrier) then got ganked by PL. Anyone with half a brain that thinks all those Merc Corp SC's weren't going to bring in the big boys is pretty freaking stupid.
Why they brought them on in as a big ***** waving show prior to anything happening is well beyond me. Perhaps they learned a lesson about that today.

It's not the CDI bro, it's the Gallente's willingness to fight outnumbered 2-1. You think if the situation was reversed or if draketrain and 8th hadn't shown up your Glorious Leader Hidden Snake would still take you into battle?
If anything, it's Hidden Snake and his what was it, 70%? rule that's the main cause we rarely get any good fights with you these days. Hidden Snake has pretty much straight up admitted that he's not looking for good fights, he's looking for ganks.
Just think about that for a moment.

To be fair, I can and do respect Snake's decision not to commit to combat unless he has a better chance of winning than losing. Any competent military commander would do the same.
With that being said, Hidden Snake's stated objective is to find "good fights". He's said it multiple times. What he says and what he does are two different things. As I have said multiple times - and many others have said the same thing - Snake isn't interested in good fights. He's out to bring his 35-man gang down upon a lone Rifter. He's there for the gank, and that's it.
On top of that, your Glorious Leader is so friggin' bad at this game he tries to hide it by multiple posts. Or better yet, claiming CCP needs to fix something (and at the same time, fire people).
Personally, I just wish Snake would fall off the face of the planet. Preferably into a bottomless pit full of man-eating anteaters.

To be honest, and I'll draw flak from it for being former quasi-buddies, I don't agree one bit with Hidden Snake's 70%/gank rule. It's just pathetic and I'm saddened to see he turned the CDI from being a defensive coalition of caldari militia corps into a laughing stock both with his stupid rule and his forum posts. It's part of the reason my corp moved from caldari to amarr.
Hidden Snake...your wolf packs used to be fun and a viable counter vs the constant Gallente carrier hotdrops. RR BS fleets were fun and numbered close to 100 with Gallente being similar, and good fights were had. But your new attitude of running from anything you don't almost certainly will beat is just pathetic and doesn't make you a good FC. Good FCs win fair fights. Great FCs win fights against the odds by using both strategy, tactics and good target calling. You don't win fights anymore, you just get ganks...
Here's some forum pron. Hidden Snake was originally against helping other militia corps, including my own fledgling corp vs external war decs. I had asked him, he said IBS won't help us, and that's when I decided to form the CDI and as an afterthought invited IBS. Since then HS has slowly taken over, mostly cause he's the only FC Caldari had left, and somehow kicked out a majority of the corps that both founded and joined the CDI in subsequent weeks.
I was against helping out the "CDI" in hasmijaala and wanted to gank both Caldari and Gallente in a threewa, but now I'm only a scrub and in the end we figured Gallente would bring a lot more to the fight, including caps, and as such good fights were supposed to be had.

Snake dropped out of militia and tried to get all CDI militia corps to follow him so he could individually dec small Gallente FW corps because IBS cant fight us in a straight up fight, or more importantly refuse to. So in response to his war decs we went after the POS.
Knowing the damage he has done to caldari militia and his attitude towards his enemies and his fellow militia is appalling, im very surprised all this support has come out of the woodwork to help him keep his POS. I have friends within the caldari militia and its pretty common knowledge what everyone thinks of Hidden Snake, his mindset and his "tactics". So i guess we will see what the future brings. But imo CDI alliance (just IBS) is doing more harm to FW then good. And hidden has paid for that in the loss of most of his good pilots to other caldari corps.

So of course people will come from across Eve universe and shoot at people involved here. It does not matter anymore if the POS goes down or not. Gallente have already lost more ships than the POS is worth so right now it's just a matter of Ehonor if you keep bringing fleets to it.

Funny thing is a couple of us were debating whether or not to take the fleet into what was going to be a massive cluster**** - The Minmatar guys had been bringing stuff into Has to help with the fight do it would have been a bit ****ty of us to not try and do something.
We were going to try and get a fight out of Has, and attempted to get the Minmatar fleet out of the station and into Nag û Slight problem here was the PL Mach gang that jumped in with the Minmatar fleet so we burned to the gate to try and get some reps on them and ball up to minimize losses and had to head back into Hasmijala, we jumped in and Draketrain landed at range (we were primarily range fitted) so we decided what the hell and to go for it anyway there and then and didnÆt expect much else than a royal bumming tbh. û Took a couple down with target switching but the repping of your logis did an awesome job and we than struggled to break much more.
More and more of you guys came in and with the PL gang jumping back in the order was given to bail and lick our wounds, We did notice the PL gang not shooting at the Draketrain gang (maybe cos of an agreement with Nibbles just joining PL and the bit or work Draketrain did with Nibble when in FW, dunno tbh).
Just really glad of the increase in activity tbh and we will keep bringing the fights as well û Glad you guys got a little bit of momentum going now, and hopefully you will keep it up.

AFAIK, the MC supers were the only reason for PL coming there, dunno why the MC was there, they ganked one of snakes carriers and a bit later eddies carrier in Tama. Dunno if they were there just for that. The first time PL warped to gate, we pulled some gtfo maneuvers, at least I had no intel of being blue to anyone else than the amarr negative sec status guys, if any.
Anyways, was expecting some funny 3-5 way stuff going on between the militias, balex, 8th order, pl and mc. MC didn't seem to have any sort of regular fleet in Hasmi but with bridges and whatnot you never know. Funny stuff tbh. -b |

Yeh, we'd have done the same gtfo manouver but it would have meant leaving the minmatar part of our fleet hung out to dry (which no way would we do).
Dont know if MC were using Has as a staging point or had some other plan they were running with but it sure made things interesting - And agree with PL being there for the supercap kills initially. Was funny at first with both sides accusing each other of bringing in MC and wondering wtf was going on!

The 2nd Battle of Hasmijaala
Waking up from the party in presidents office in Ladistier is always good since you know someone else will clean up the mess. Communications network was flashing with reports that Hasmijaala control tower (having been saved and repaired less than 12h before) was under attack, again.
Questions in corp chat quickly determined that people had interest to join in defence instead of usual 0.0 roam so Draep pledged support for the upcoming operation. Hidden Snake would not be present to lead the op so First General FIRST GENERAL had been drafted for the job.
While tower was coming out of reinforced status, Draep sat in Villore and destroyed gallentes who were hauling material and ships in preparation for the evening. Even Hidden Snake issue Lachesis was unable to evade the blockade.
There was a risk that people were actually coming bit too comfortable with ganks and it took a herculean effort from FC to get everyone to stop messing around in high-sec and form a fleet.
Since we didnt know what to expect we formed a usual fleet and psyched ourselves up with proper music. Having updated our clones and loaded up with ammo, fleet headed to Old Man Star with initial plan to intercept Gallentes who would be moving to staging areas.
Much to our dismay, pipes were mainly clear except for small ships which our gang was ill-suited to tackle. Even more worrying was the fact that Hasmijaala local had lots of Mercenary Coalition in it and that there were several super carriers in their own staging pos, hungrily eyeing the Caldari capitals and ships huddling around Snakes pos.
We warned about the supercaps on intel channels. There was no reaction and our scout soon said öMercs are going global on Snakes tower and, oh, there went their carrierö. Few minutes later I was convoed by Caldari militia member who said they got dropped by supercarriers. Nice to see intel moving along.
We once had mercenary contract against MC so we decided to hint on various intel channels that there are super carriers outside pos shields, hoping that someone would pick up the batphone and make sure we got some kind of fight in Hasmijaala instead of capital ships online.
Draep fleet continued to Tama and met a pirate battleship+guardian gang at Sujarento gate in Tama. Pirates lost typhoon, scorpion and hyperion before they managed to de-aggro and flee to Sujarento. No losses were taken by us. Draep moved on to Nisuwa and local only had 15 hostiles and nothing in space. We returned to Tama at the same time as pirates but we only saw them on scan and didnt get a rematch.
Fleet decided to take a break and docked up in Deven. After the break, one more corporation member wanted to join with the fleet. I advised caution and suggested that he should go to Oshaima via high-sec where we could pick him up. CEO would not have any of that bullcrap since Villore was only 3j out.
As somewhat expected, our drake got killed immediately upon entering Heydieles. Reason for this was a large gang of Balkan Express. We moved to Heydieles but Balex had left the gates. We also met with Amarr gang who said they got badly beaten by Balex as well.

PART 2
At this stage the pos was out of reinforced and we moved to wait into Nagamanen to see what MC would do. Nervous mexican stand-off ensued as no side wanted to make the first move. Then we got intel that Gallentes were finally moving out from Heydieles with gang of around 30 battleships and battlecruisers. At the same time, someone had picked up the batphone and Batman arrived to the field. Games were afoot.
Leaving the big boys to duke it out, Draep fleet moved to Deven gate to intercept Gallentes. Soon the fleet jumped on us and we opened fire. Gallentes quickly lost a hurricane while their tacklers were chased off by drones and missiles but one stiletto was not fast enough and exploded. At this stage they got a warp in on us so fleet warped out into new position. No losses were suffered (except few drones).
Aggro timer ticket out and we saw Hasmijaala gate was clear on this side. Intel from other side also revealed gate was clear and that Batman had destroyed MC supercapital. We jumped into Hasmijaala and with Amarr, took up positions at the gate, expecting gallente to jump in.
Unfortunately, it was not to be and Batman drove past us to gate in his machariel, destroying few slower Amarrs in the process before they could escape. Soon we saw local drop as Batman jumped into Nagamanen and our scout laughed out loud as he saw the combined Gallente/Minmatar fleet getting badly hammered.
We quickly warped at range and overheated the warp disruptors of our lachesis to catch any hostiles who jumped to other side. Pretty soon the fleet appeared and did a fleet warp out. We catched tempest, raven and more importantly a hurricane which we assumed was piloted by the FC of the combined fleet.
Due to some fine piloting, the raven managed to get away from our clutches or jumped back to Nagamanen. Either way he survived by our knowledge. Hurricane and tempest were not as lucky and as soon as Batman returned, we warped out and let him finish off the two stranded ships.
At this stage Caldari had started to repair the POS as MC had evacuted the system and it was unlikely that Batman would care much about the pos since they achieved a supercarrier kill which they probably came here for anyway.
Draep warped back to Nagamanen gate and held position. Quite soon Gallente/Minmatar fleet warped to gate and engaged us in battle. I communicated this to Caldari and Amarr who were still in system. Our logistics worked well and none of the Draep ships was in any danger and we picked off smaller ships which the logistics of the enemy could not save.
At this stage Caldari had changed their pos repair ships to combat ships and landed on the field along with the Amarr and the battle which has rarely seen in low-sec started. Lag became extremely bad and there was problem with ships responding to commands.
Despite our best efforts, we did take a single loss as one of our drakes finally melted under the combined firepower of the Gallente/Minmatar. Bulk of the other losses seemed to occur to Amarr as their assault cruisers were not as sturdy as our drakes and not blessed with as long range as the missiles.
Eventually the Gallente/Matar fleet was destroyed, with some escaping back to Nagamanen. Draep saluted all friendlies on the field and decided to skip any looting/salvaging as our losses were a single drake and Hidden Snakes guys were going to need a new carrier anyway. Draep flew to Oshaima, docked up and called it a day.
Here's waiting for 3rd reinforce timer.

Edited by: Hidden Snake on 08/11/2010 12:22:27 again .. thnx everybody to come and help (from noob rifter pilots to friends on the batphones - list is just too long to go by names or corps).
also thnx to our targets as we successfuly turned Hasmijala into most dangerous lowsec system.
I am sorry I was able to FC only 1st battle (btw as in second we had 3+ CoFCs who did great too) and my props to First General who FCd second one (I had serious RL constrains which binded me elsewhere).
HAVE FUN!

You guys wanna know the best part? Just got word that PL and MC were blue but the PL FC didn't know that and melted the Hel. The Hel was reimbursed by PL.
Best of my knowledge no one hired anyone (except OWN Alliance apparently), MC was drawn to that low sec area to support their contracts' operations (they are staging near Tribute) but, either someone tipped them or one of their scouts saw the carriers/big fight at that POS and decided to take a piece of the action. They have been hotdropping all over low sec ganking caps.
And with this thread here and intel posted in "other" public forums... Yea... I think our little low sec area will see some unfriendly faces for the next days trying to get a piece of us, LOLFW guys... :\

I very rarely come to Eve-O forums (the trolling and smack isn't my cup of tea), but i have to make an exception today.
I have to say a HUGE thankyou to everyone who answered the spam mails about getting this thing together over the last 2 days. Our corp lads worked endlessly to get the tower back up each day so we could have the fun with it that we did. PL were great in scaring off the threat of MC busting our party.
The Gallente were brilliant, not once, not even twice, but 3 times they came at us with shockingly lower numbers or DPS, and they didn't stop until they had nothing to fight with.
The real winner of the struggle was FW; both sides re-energised their respective militias, and showed they still have the hunger.
Gratz to all.

Excellent write up damar.
BTW Good Fight to all. What happened in Hasmijaala was historic in the Caldari/Gallente War. Never in my memory have the Ammar, Gallente, Caldari and Minmatar had a four way royal rumble WWF style with a few suprise entrances by Merc Coalition and Pandamic Legion. A true Battle Royal that will be told through the months to come. To any and all that was part of this fight be proud, You just made Faction War History. Let us hope more battles live up to the Epic standard set by this one.

I'll miss that hurricane. But just fyi i wasnt the FC
