I have an alt that flies Gallente. Been getting it ready for Incursions. I already have a Hyperion for direct-fire fun, and wanted to see what the Domi could do. A friend linked me a fit like the one below. I tweaked it a bit for my skills. Obviously a gang fit.
I have a high slot left and am considering a single gun for any frigs/cruisers that get close enough. It has to be a hybrid(skills), but other than that I am open to suggestions.
"Hospital" Dominix
Armor Thermic Hardener II Armor Thermic Hardener II Imperial Navy Large Armor Repairer Capacitor Power Relay II Capacitor Power Relay II Armor EM Hardener II Armor EM Hardener II
Sensor Booster II, Scan Resolution Drone Navigation Computer I Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II
Large Remote Armor Repair System II Medium Remote Armor Repair System II Medium 'Regard' I Power Projector **Modal Mega Neutron Particle Accelerator I, Antimatter Charge L **<--- THIS IS THE SLOT Drone Link Augmentor I Drone Link Augmentor I
Large Remote Repair Augmentor I Large Remote Repair Augmentor I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
Infiltrator II x5 Curator I x5 Praetor I x5 Medium Armor Maintenance Bot I x5 Acolyte II x5
--
BTW, This fit is stable running both my large repper and the large remote, or everything but one of the larges.
629/629 sansha defense(em/therm) on EFT w/my skills

Is there something more useful than a gun to put there?

Forget guns in that case, fit a heavy neut. Most frigates have trouble remaining alive when they can't turn on their MWD/AB/Tank and in some cases Guns.
A single heavy neut would empty out the cap on most frigs. and further more why do i even need a sig? |

If you are in the middle of a war and there are a lot of enemies coming and going I would fit a large neut. If you need more rep power, or other people in your gang would do good against frigates, I would fit another large remote armor rep. Also, use gallente drones, they do more damage if I remember correctly, even if you include resists.

Edited by: TheKalila on 07/11/2010 05:21:48 First, always state your intention.
If this is for PvE, then it's pretty LAWLWUT. You don't need Sebo for PvE and Omnidirectional Tracking Links are important for Sentry damage, way more over a Drone Nav comp, especially since you will be in range to rep anyway and if your not then whats the point? Also I would rethink your strategy and it highly depends on WHAT you are doing, we have no idea where or for what this is going to be used to give anything constructive advice in possible fits.
If this is for PvP, then it's pretty LAWLWUT. LAWLWUT sums it up nicely, try again on this one.

Drop the sensor booster and the navigation computer in the mids and put 2 omnidirectional tracking links in there for your sentries.
Also dont bother with one gun, but rather improve on the utility part, maybe by adding a tractor beam, a cloak, or another remote repper, something like that.

Thanks for the input all.
My apologies for not being clear on ship use. As I stated before, I am getting ready for Sansha incursions. This is for small gang use during those incursions, as well as anti-Sansha missions to some extent. Hence all the EM/Therm resists and EM drones. It is not made so much for direct killing on its own, but rather to rep others so they can bring more gank and less tank.
Having not yet experienced an incursion directly I erred on the side of caution with the sebo for targeting friendlies for immediate reps. Didn't want lose someone due to targeting times and huge dps by the Sanshas.
Using shorter-ranged EM damage drones, I was thinking that the sentries would not be used as much as the other drone types, hence the lack of Omnis.
I will adjust fit and test.
The medium cap repper can be switched for a pair of smalls and use all slots without killing my stability.
Thanks again...

Just a quick word. Don't use EM drones. (I've heard EM sentries are good but as I don't have experience with sentries, this just applies to light medium and heavy drones) Despite having a bigger EM hole than a Therm hole in their resists, Sansha ships should receive more damage from thermal drones (hobgoblin, hammerheads and ogres) than from EM drones. Example: Hobgoblin II Acolyte II Notice the damage modifier, x1.92 compared to x1.38. This is before your skills are taken into account. The difference in damage will more than make up for you hitting the higher thermal resistance. -------------------------------------------------

EM sentries are the bane of EM weak ships, they rip through them, given the right skills. 70km with 2 omnis at that.
