When I exit the client, my entire desktop is stuck in a dimmed state, as if the brightness were turned down all the way. Rebooting fixes this issue. Is anyone else having this problem?

Looks like its only when I access the new character creator that this bug occurs.

Yes. There are more people having similar issues. I'm experiencing major color scheme issues when alt tabbing.
I made a thread about it here. __________________________________________________

You can solve this problem without rebooting your computer if you have the catalyst control center installed. Go into the desktop properties, change the color quality to 16-bits, apply then discard changes.
I tried this only after having closed Eve. I don't know if it works with Eve still running and what effects it can produce in Eve after.

Actually, you can just try to run something in administrator mode and then cancel out (it seems to be the same 'dimming' effect used for those prompts).

You can restore your brightness (after exiting the client) by changing your desktop resolution and then changing it back to your preferred resolution. That's probably faster than restarting.
There's another thread about this, and it apparently has something to do with the color depth settings on the SiSi client. You may be able to avoid the problem by choosing a different stencil depth.

This. Fastest/simplest work around I found is Ctrl-Alt-Del then cancel.

Aye is indeed the fastest, what I noticed is that it only goes for one card. I have 2 cards and a monitor on each (no crossfire), and it only does it on the screen I run the client on and not the other. ---------------------------------- None of yet! |
