CCP, are you implying players should be expecting to use Eve's CSR petition system often?
Seriously though, hopefully this improves eve's offline sales. Good luck!

We are putting pressure on Namco Bandai Partners to take good care of The Netherlands. It's on our radar.

I'm tempted to buy it just for the pleasure of getting podded repeatedly, petitioning you for every loss and laugh knowing a GM is pretty much forced to always reimburse my suicide ganking implant during those 35 days over and over and over again. Also, I would poast about it on the forums with a tittle like "CCP is subsidizing suicide ganking and griefing!!!". I can propably come up with a bit more inflammatory tittle though.
Good times ahead.

If i'd be a new character (Which obviously, I'm not) I'd get myself killed once every half an hour or so... hope those petitions get done fast :P

Dear CCP, it's nice that you explore other channels of distribution. It's even nice that you add some exclusive items for buyers.
But I ask you for one thing: please, oh please, don't introduce important items through this way. I like to think that by paying monthly subscription I have all the possibilities this game offers.
PS. I can't find this Interbus Shuttle on contract. If you have one contact me ingame.

SURELY EVE players wouldn't THINK of griefing GMs that way...I mean...how many EVE subscribers are *that* devious? Oh, wai...

This is all very nice, and while I appreciate that a retail addition is intended to bring in new customers and so generate more revenue.
But as a player who has always been an online customer, it'd be nice if I could buy myself this shiney box and get something out of it other than a shiney box (oh and a copy of the EVE client which will be out of date in a week anyway). I really don't need another character.

Seriously, CCP? Talk about getting started on the wrong foot.
Perhaps if you automated this process via a distinct type of petition and a script that checked for petitions of this type and reimbursed all the outstanding ones once per hour, that might be reasonable. I doubt you'll retain many new players if they have to experience a typical wait for a GM response before their trial is even over.
Not only that, but you're diverting valuable GM time away from other players' petitions. --- 34.4:1 mineral compression |

Seriously, you couldn't code it to survive podding? And then we wonder why petition response times are so long.

Nice bonus to new player that Cerebral Accelerator! But you truly should have given out a unique item too! Because if you had I would have bought the box just to get that particular item!
Hmm.. Come to think of it. I stil might buy it, just to have the box...

I kinda wonder if it wouldn't just be easier to make it untradeable, and just have the insurance company people mail them a new one every time they got podded. Atleast the ticke....petitions will be quite easy for GMs to resolve.

Make sure you tell all new players that the best way to use the booster is to use it for 29 days, then let yourself get podded, petetion a new one, and then trade it to another character

sucks.

You can activate a trial with it, but you lose all the boosted time you spent on the trial! Commit to EVE right away, and send CCP ISK for a game you don't even know you will like! ___________

In all honesty though, aside from my previously silly post... The implementation of this is pointlessly obtuse, as is the way that it removes time depending on the age of the toon. I'm quite sure it would have been possible to code it to stay in your head if podded, or to have a new one sent to you when you die. You just seem to be giving yourself more headaches here.

No, No and No. Serious Dislike. If I lost my +3 set at 4 days and petitioned it, would I get it back? This is a step in the wrong direction. ---
