I am running 5 planets in a 0.5 system with Improved CC the most my skills will allow. Currently I only collect raw materials and take them to market. I have 3 accounts. Im wondering if anyone has an estimate of what I can make from the information below.
9 pilots 6 planets per pilot Elite CC 5 hour cycles only selling the raw materials
What if I ran only 5 planets per with improved CC in order to keep the training time down.
I do not have hard data, but from my estimation I believe I could make more than 2.5bil every 30 days at buy order prices.
Any Thoughts

maths should be pretty easy
Just look at planets your currently using, for 5hour extraction, multiply by 9 and bingo there is extraction for that planet per toon :)
Do same for all 5 planets your doing atm and you have your numbers.
Remember every PI planet & type has different volumes & value

Raws alone are relatively worthless. I would aim for 23h cykles Tier 1 production in low sec. Preferably all in same system. You will drive yourself nuts with all that cliking maintaining 5h cykles on that many characters. You are looking at approx 10 min of intense cliking per character per extraction cykle. So with 9 chars its 90 minutes of intense cliking to make one extraction cykle activate with all of them.

I'm going to hijack this thread a bit, and start a conversation on low sec PI.
I've been doing low sec PI for a while, and I'm about at my end with it. A blockade runner, fully expanded (risking slow warp outs from gates, i know) holds only 10k m3. 10k m3 of coolant is between 40-50m isk in Jita usually. Even with all my planets in the same constellation, it takes me an hour or more to pick up, and drop at Jita. After accounting for time invested clicking aswell, I find PI only paying around 12-15m isk per hour. Is this similar to what other people are making on one character? To me, it seems kind of low, considering the extra risk.

I think it takes an additional 1 second for my Crane to warp when fit for max cargo.
With the Covert Cloak it isn't a big deal in lowsec. Heck warping in 10 seconds with an Improved Cloak in lowsec is often good enough.

Hello there, like people have said prices vary but i make about 6bil a month with 12 characters on PI and only with advanced cc's, elite is just a waste of time. Yea, theres alot of clicking involved this is by doing 3 5hr cycles a day of course there are days where im tired and dont do it.

I do my PI in a C1 WH but here are my numers and earnings. 9 characters, 5 planets, adv cc, 11 basic factorys 8 extractors averaging 3000 per 15 on 5h cycle. Average monthly proffit of 6-7 billion. The clicking is not as bad as the trolls claim, I set a timer when I reset my extractors and it takes 15-20 to do them all. I don't know if most people realise almost all actions with PI can be done much quicker with a fast double click. You don't need to click the various buttons most of the time, it is very well setup and knows what your intention is.

What would you double click to get an extractor to re-extract on a 5hr cycle?

Double-click the extractor, double-click the desired cycle. Rinse and repeat.

it would be more than a double click it would be ....
as apposed to: click science + industry > click planet > click view planet > click extractor 1 > click survey > click 5h cycle > click install > click extractor 2 etc....
with double clicks:
click science + industry > double click planet (takes to to planet mode), double click extractor 1 (auto starts the survey), double click the 5h cycle (auto installs)
the amount of clicks may be the same but the speed and ease of them is reduced as there is lots less movement of the mouse and thus time is saved.
Same for when your building your colony and setting up routes (with the max possible transfer), double clicking the "Not Routed" sets you up ready to make the route and double clicking the destination auto installs the route. The only time this wont work is when routing things from storage like raw materials to basic factory's.

Good tips, thanks. I did find that ctrl-clicking an extractor, launchpad, or factory puts me into link mode. Maybe now I can dbl click the destination, and it will auto link.

Ctrl-click to start placing a link, single-click to place the end of it... no double-clicks needed for setting links.
