Sense your stretching the idea ganking ships is just another from or playing on the market then as I would be limiting your available isk and resources from making it on to the market. Carebears keep telling themselves that is is not a pure pvp game by quantifying what is and isn't pvp by there own conditions. I dont gank indy people but I also dont try to say that EVE isnt a pure PVP game. |

Now you just sound stupid.

Missioning can be PVP if you have a ninja salvager or a ganker come into your gate. |

Then it's not missioning anymore, it becomes ganking or camping or piracy. Pick your adjective. Either way, it doesn't stand. |

I am someone that, in incarna (and I still support my decision) unsubbed 2/3 accounts and quit playing on the third. The changes made in the later end of crucible/Inferno (the tiny UI fixes, improvements, name standardisation, mining changes) have led not only to all 3 of my accounts being actively played now, but a 4th account now exits with a new character training on the power of two offer. |

Im curious what your reasons are for doing it whilst still actively looking at the forums, not being sarcastic or troll like jjsut genuinely curious as you must still have an interest in the game |

Everything that is not seeded by CCP in eve is PVP. That's just a PvP-tards way of twisting words and meanings to lend some form of credibility to their argument. Selling is not PvP. Manufacturing is not PvP. It's more PvE than anything. The player pitting their skills and resources and ability to create or mine against the environment of the market. PvP is PvP, Manufacturing and mining is NOT PvP. Get over it. 100% incorrect. If the market was npc based you would have a point, but the market is player based. You cannot sell the majority of items to anyone but players.
The only activity in EVE that could be claimed to be PvE is shooting rats. And even that has a PvP element (getting your ship/mods).
The market "environment" is players.
In EVE, manu and mining are PvP. Get over it. |

In the spirit of avoiding another conflict, I'll say this; this entire debate revolves around the difference in definition of what PvP is to some. Some see it is ship on ship directly harming others, while some see anything pitting x and y against each other in even the most MINUSCULE WAY as PvP. |

Thanks Corina Jarr. I am really not trying to attack anyone on the forums. I am just trying to help people understand that EVE is PVP based once people come to this mind set there will be less err different complaints on the forums. There has been far to much out cry for CCP to hold the players hand in this game. EVE is hard find a way to make some isk from that fact. If ever this is no longer any risk involved in this game I would be sad to say but that is the only thing that keeps me playing this game.
Ok I also want to say thank you to CCP for putting out a great patch and in my opinion a great balance and verity to the mining barges if this is a sneak peek at the future of ship rebalanced I cant wait to applaud or cry neh at the next set of roll outs. |

Sorry to have been a bit aggressive. Differences of opinion bring out the rage upon escalation. I.e. EVE brings out the worst in me.

I'm not sure this can ever happen as it doesn't realistically characterize all the ways the game can be played. The game can easily become more of a social or productive environment where PvP while ever present is just the inescapable background noise to the things you are doing. Bringing up that it happens anywhere doesn't make it any more relevant.
The only thing that matters is that when PvP does find you, you accept it as part of the game you've chosen to play and respond accordingly. |

I am glad that we came to this realization much faster in this thread than in another one I was party to...
The downside of the internet seems to be that so many new terms have various commonly used definitions.
Also, on track with OP, I would like to say nice job CCP on the miners. Please don't forget about them when we notice things that don't work as intended. |

I will still play a little here and there on the one account, but the game needs some major game changing mechanics to bring my level of interest back up to what it used to be. |

Fair point, at least your not going all bitter and shouty about it. |
