Nearly every time I try to update or install the test server it installs on both my tranquility and singularity folders. I have the folders seperate and I always make sure to specify which folder to install over. Almost never works properly. I spent all afternoon downloading both clients. It seems whenever I have them both working together CCP finds a way to screw up the update for singularity and we require a new install. This is how they get me.
I actually went out to get some beer to calm my nerves. I'm not the only one with difficulty. CCP has the nerve to expect help with mass testing which is understandable in itself given the nature of lag but their system is not only user unfriendly it's actually broken.
CCP you don't need to bribe us with little bonuses to help you test for lag. We're not dogs that are looking for a treat, all we need is a proper installer for the test server that won't **** our main install.

Here is the link for the tool http://cdn1.eveonline.com/SisiLauncher/115/SisiLauncher.exe

I actually separated my main client and test client by putting them in completely separate folders on completely separate drives and partitions. This did not work. Had the Test client on my main partition/drive figuring it would install there by default to the default install location anyway. When that update error'd out as they all too often do it installed itself to my other drives client. This ****ed me off. I had to redownload the game and reinstall again. Even when it was downloading using the installer it error'd out AFTER it got to 100% download and then forced me to download manually. I am done with the test server until a proper installer can be made for it that is not just a copy and past of the main client. CCP you CAN make them two separate clients that install and reside in their own folders. To not do so is just lazy.

I have been using the Sisi launcher since it came out and have had no problems. I just manually made a copy of TQ into another folder (EVE- Sisi), pointed the sisi launcher at it, and away I went.
Why doesn't that work for you?

Make sure do DO NOT INSTALL the sisi client with the normal game installer.
This only seams to happen when ppl run setup a second time for their sisi client.
You're suporsed to only install it ONCE and then make COPY of the directory.
Also make sure to always double check the branch the new patch is using. The normal development branch sisi patches, usualy automatically ask for the program path, or recognize the sisi client themself. The live branch patches (the ones they use a few days before a live patch) however, don't do that. You need to take care to install it in the correct directory.
If you still got trouble, just rename your live folder, so the patcher won't automatically locate it. WARNING: Renaming your live folder changes its path and therfor invalidates all cached and client side setting!
