So as I'm wandering around the interwebs I check out as many MMOs as I can. One in particular made me laugh because it seems to be a total copy of Eve except instead of ships you have mechs/robots and instead of space you have a planet.
Anyone else see it as a copy? :P

Been in the beta, stopped playing because it was terribad. Some (many?) elements are 1:1 copies from EVE, especially UI elements.
If you want to play terrestrial combat then go for World of Tanks. WoT is the retirement home for many bitter EVE vets. WoT isn't perfect either but at least you don't have to put up with all the ******ation that you see in EVE and if you do then only for as long as a match lasts. Once they introduce Clan Wars it will actually become a persistent world and a real MMO as opposed to a multiplayer shooter that it is now. It's more fun than EVE in either case.

The WOT beta has being out for several months. And it's very playable with few bugs. I have played so much of the beta I wonder If I will buy the full game. |

I know YOU didnt mention it was free to play. But surely you did a little bit of research for a game you planned to buy?
Regardless, when it does goes live it will be a free to play game, and as such will have a micro-transaction model of payment (real money for gold) for in-game extras.
You will be able to purchase a 'premium' account, which helps you earn more money and XP per match, which i guess is the closest to any form of subscription you will find here.
Edit - this thread is now about World of Tanks
