Hi, I'm considering going into industry, and was wondering if the rewards are worth the effort / headache, is so, what to train / which way to go?

As the piranha circle the prey that has entered their pond, the sharks, out in deep ocean, pay no heed to such an insignificant ripple in the water. Perhaps, with time, this prey can become a predator... perhaps.

Put all your skills into missioning and PVE stuff. Then make lot's of billions of ISK and become win/ :)

Industry is about making ISK while doing something else.
There is a good amount of math and research involved before going into production, but once you get that all figured out (and create spreadsheets), you don't have to spend a lot of time babysitting it.
The industry and trade skills don't contribute to combat, so many people train a second account.
Minimal industry skills do come in handy. Example: building T1 ammo or cap charges from reprocessed junk loot, requires Industry 1 and as much Production Efficiency Skill as you are willing to train. You can buy researched BPO or BPC.

If you do it right, industry is very worthwhile.
The hardest part is building up enough resources/isk to make it worth while.
Some random numbers: 10% of 100 mil a week blows, 10 % of 10 bil a week, not so bad. Those numbers are obviously made up but the theory holds true.

true. but the nice thing about industry is waking up in the morning, logging and finding you made money while sleeping. missioning requires time invested. -----------------
