Make Supercaps not disappear when the player logs out
Before you say anything, there are Capital ship maintenance arrays. If you want to keep your supercap safe, store it in a pos with no access except for a password only you know.
That way alliances actually have to protect supercaps instead of having them not be in any risk at all!

Create a new form of POS which can be anchored toghether on the same moon and form together like a huge used car lot with guns on it. Everytime someone logs they have to park it there. Alliances have to defend their supercap lots or lose them all to car theives.

This will get shot down fast but..
Perhaps make it so that if you die in a cap you lose some skillpoints like dying in a T3.
Eh eh???? Eve online, htfu? risk/reward/consequences/etc...? Wink wink, nudge nudge?

I agree. You should lose one level of racial carrier every time you die or self destruct.

I think the Insurance company should drop you if you lose a supercap. Seriously if you totaled your Bentley doing something stupid do you think your insurance company would keep you?

Lose 1 level of skill when you lose supercap, interesting. It would seem that only a few supercaps pilots would be affected by this very often though.

Losing carrier V would suck balls.

ehhhh...........
Honestly............isk means nothing in this game to people who know what they are doing. Living in 0.0 I could lose a 2 carriers a week and still make a profit. Using isk as a penalty is weak sauce. Relax! I'm here to save the forums!!! |

I don't know, having no insurance again could screw with people. or even paying double to triple premiums. and if the caldari ran the insurance you could expect to pay 10X as much for insurance with each ibis loss D:

Using the T3 model as an example..you wouldn't lose the racial carrier skill but the support skills...ie, the associated navigation skills. JDC/JDO/JFC. You could lose 1 or 2 levels, whatever. This will never happen cause we are all care bears but meh. Relax! I'm here to save the forums!!! |

Hire a bunch of gunnuts for 10K ISK an hour and a promise to get Triage RR'd when they're in deeps**t and let them float around you.
All you need to do is mute speakers, get off vent, and let the client run. End of story.

There is a way to make SC stay in space after logging out, just ask PL
I am actually surprised there isnt a threadnaught on this, even though I think the rumours of them exploiting using ECM bursts are bull**** and well even if it is true, its not like supercaps are dying faster than getting produced

Just wait two years, then you'll see 200-500 man fleets entirely out of super caps. Unbeatable to anything but large coalitions, and even then they'll never fight because neither side will want to lose any. ------

Then CCP will add the exhaust port -subsystem to all supercapitals, that can only be targeted by frigate class ships fitted with a special anti subsystem warhead. The radiation caused by the system makes operating a cloaking device on the same ship impossible. The warhead is chance based, but you can train the subsystem targetting -skill(although people will call it training in the force) to increase your chances of success.

what's with all the supercap whining. They're dying left and right (thx to pl and their exploits :p) Your reasoning is silly. "OMG supercaps will become the next battleship" Well, if you think about it, way back when there were only frigs and cruisers, battleships were like caps. So, you're basically just saying we should all be flying Ibis' or reapers.

Deleting ECM from the game would be a good way to solve Supercap Inflation. Everyone knows ECM is overpowered, and the reason why so many people fly Supercaps is because they cannot be jammed. By deleting ECM, people can move back to regular hulls again.

what? How does removing ECM help the pseudo-issue with supers?

- ECM is OP. So people fly ships which cannot be jammed - ECM is deleted. - More people fly normal hulls, and I expect Supercap pilots will sell theirs since they no longer have to worry about overpowered ecm preventing them from flying the more fun regular ships.

How many times has your intergalactic SpaceBentley been shot out of the sky by marauding pirates in SpaceRollsRoyces armed with antimatter-firing 425mm railguns? Hmm? If the answer is more than 0 then yes, your insurance company should probably drop you.

I agree that super capitals are overpowered. But so is ECM, Once ECM is deleted, and non-SCs are useful again, we can nerf SCs and everything will be good again.

Make it so frigates can kill supercarriers. Add a thermal exhaust port they can fly into or something. -
