I would like to remind everyone that if you believe someone has scammed you with Buddy Invites, file a petition. We do not take kindly to players scamming our newcomers even before they lose their first ships.
Additionally, I removed some slandering posts from this thread. If someone is a buddy invite scammer, let the Game Masters know and they will investigate. The appropriate action will then be taken. CCP Gargant | Community Representative |

Two things:
1) When it's written it's not slander, it's libel. 2) It's not libel if it's true. Everyone vs Everyone Xuixien - Space Cat, Queen of Rens |

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. A good lesson for EVE as well as real life. But yes buddy scamming is a big no-no. Although, I'm not really sure how you got scammed? He promised a few mil ISK and that's what you got, right? The only scam was his worthless "secrets" but you didn't pay any extra for these did you? Maybe I am missing something here but I can't see any way in which you got scammed? |

The thing you also have to realise, is that the name tankCEO goes right back to the start of Eve and like the preverbial outbreak of Haemorrhoids keeps comeing back into game to try and mess things up.
To be honest , I wish that CCP would perma ban the character, the player behind it, and even block the name from ever being used in Eve. As the idiot behind that name is a griefer of the worst kind.
To any player who playes a pirate, you want to know why High Sec is so badly nerfed? Thank tankCEO. All he and his crew of idiots do is come in game and target new players. The name should be banned once and for all |

Truth is this, years and years ago Tank CEO was a "someone", mostly because of a hilarious youtube vid where some crying Carebear went full ****** on their TS server. Since his return a while ago (1-2 years?) he's been nothing but a whiny clown and many suspect him to be under new management. Ignore&avoid.
If you have questions on EVE or issues or whatever feel free to mail me and I'll help you out. Free of charge, no strings attached.

Which in itself shows that CCP might want to consider their "balancing" philosophy to aim at this particular imbalance in game-play. We know that PvE and PvP require two completely different play and fitting styles. The question is "why?" Why has CCP made their game mechanics so that this is true? That it is not true demonstrates that something is wrong with some core mechanics, either in PvE, PvP, or both. EvE Forum Bingo |

That's the thing, it's not separate at all. This IS a pvp centric MMO based on the idea of bashing eachother's heads in using various ways, be it pewpew, the market or through denial of space/assets or any other funky stuff we can come up with. That's what CCP envisioned from the start and what they still try to keep up. Just because someone who's new chooses not to see it that way or because someone who's been PVEing for years want to wish away these vile and horrible space bullies, doesn't mean that should happen.
Just because it requires a different fitting has nothing to do with it, what you mean to say is "it requires some brain effort, people are allergic to that". EVE is one of the few that allows that sort of gameplay, if one can't deal with that then this person should either adapt (which isn't that hard btw, it just requires a little bit of effort) or move on.
