i'm looking foreword to the up coming expansion. I want to get an idea of what i'm going to have to tank for in each size of incursion. I know that sansha does 53% em and 47% therm but i don't know how much tank i'm going to need. 300dps, 500dps, 1000? You guys have been playing around with this on the test server so I guess this is the place to ask.
Thanks

As far as I know the Sansha in incursion sites do all damage types, and there are reports of uber-resist Tengu's going down in under 30 seconds. These are not solo-able. Check the sticky at the top of the page for more info.

The Assault level Incursion I tested out mandated a 3000 DPS tank. Remote rep, high resists and buffer is the name of the game.
EM/Therm Lasers and Kinetic/Explosive Missiles.

Lasted a lot longer than my test server 1k omni tanked drake. With two players I could kill a frigate each time before warping out. Couldn't kill the cruisers though not enough dps. Kill the warp scrambling frigates first of course and leave when you have 5 drones left out fighting.

About the effects: The reduction in resistent is calculated from "the missing" part.
IE your EM Resistant is 60% then you are missing 40% to max. At full controll the disturbance remove 10% damage / resistance - so you will loose 4% in this case resulting in 56% resistance.
Note: The higher your Resistance the lower the "lose"

If Incursion effects is calculated that way, then the relative difference is linear - i.e. you have 2 curves that just follows the std logarithmic damage reduction curves, with the second curve (denoting Incursion system effect) at minor offset.
Basically, it means there's no sweet (resistance) spots to exploit

thats just how resistances % calculus works ! the higher your resistances the smaller % you can add to them ! from 90% resistance to 95% you get half the dmg removed , even if its just a mere 5%

The resistence exploit is by using reduced signature radius to tank the Kinetic/Explosive damage.

People in the internet spaceship business call this 'sig tanking'.
