Hi all,
As we all are aware corporations have wallet divisions and I've always wondered why CCP have never given the personal wallet divisions since, a lot of players who deal in large amounts of ISK have to have everything in the master wallet and lets say as an example a trader is saving up for something of the value of lets say 20 billion ISK, the only way that he can separate the ISK is by sending it to an alt or setting up his own corporation just so he can use divisions. It shouldn't be to hard to program divisions for personal wallets and though it's only a small feature it would be a very useful one in my opinion.
I would really like to see this added as I think it's a bit of a drawback at the moment.
Look forward to hearing your thoughts and maybe some input from a dev.

+1, I like the idea of organizing and saving my ISK up in a personal wallet instead of my alt's corp wallet. Although it doesn't really matter since I have an alt corp already.. |

This comes up on occasion, and I always find myself wondering what purpose it serves.
Corporate wallet divisions exist so that you can restrict people or groups to budgets rather than giving them access to the entire corporate account. With your personal wallet, you are the ONLY person with access. No one is going to steal from you. You can quite easily track and control your spending without breaking the cash up into divisions.
I fail to see why it would be worth the development effort. The Skunkworks is recruiting. -áhttps://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1540711#post1540711 |

It wouldn't be that much development effort, they already have it for the corp wallet. |

Lets make it simple.
The idea of having a personal wallet division system wouldn't just mean having divisions, it would mean having the ability to set where income goes. Lets say you have 5 divisions, you could have the following:
(1) - Mission Running Income (2) - Market Sales Income (3) - Subscription (4) - POS Funding (5) - Savings
If I were a mission runner I would have all the mission running ISK from (Bounties, Agent Reward, Loot, Salvage etc) set so that all the ISK from that went into Division 1. This would mean you would just need to glance to see what exactly you had from missions. Then you could put that ISK towards your subscription or POS or into the savings.
It would also benefit traders that work in high figures of ISK and would greatly improve there control over there money and what they want to use it for.
I'm fully aware of the reason why corporations have divisions. Theft doesn't really come into play with personal wallets unless you like stealing from yourself, the idea is solely for the purpose of been able to manage your money easier. As you stated you can manage it in it's current form though if your a trader and have hundreds of millions or even billions going in and out everyday It would make it so much easier to manage with a division system.
It's simply a matter of ease of management

+1 Yes please this would be an invaluable asset, to all players but especially to newer players who are still trying to keep their heads above water in the flood of information that is New Eden (besides it hurts no one to add the option to use these).

I've recently delved into the wonderful world of "atls".... and I thought wallet divisions were an important and needed feature before.
CCP as a player relatively new to EVE this is my single most desired feature (don't get me wrong I like the "teiricide" tend with ship balance, and the revamped tutorial is a vast improvement, but fixing the wallet will have a great impact on my ability to play the game (as opposed to fight with the interface ) and thus my overall enjoyment of the playtime.
I don't know how much the vets of EVE are effected by/accustomed too the current limitations of the wallet, but for new players the ability to clearly manage your funds in game would be a boon.

Heck. Freaking. Yes.
This has been something that has pissed me off since I discovered that corporations had wallet divisions... Y U NO give us personal divisions? I'd love to be able to set up an emergency reserve fund, as well as save up for that shiny carrier I always wanted. (Oh, and allow us to rename said divisions, like Corps can).
Also, a feature that I think would be cool is this (provided personal divisions are implemented): Have something like the corporation tax, except on the individual level. Allow us to set up a budget sort of thing that automatically diverts X% in Wallet division 1, Y% into Wallet division 2, Z% into wallet division 3, etc. This way we can sort of automatically build up these saving accounts of sorts.
This would be an awesome feature... |

I'm not 100% sure of all the ins and outs of that scam, but if I'm remembering right, wouldn't just making it withdraw from any available division (if the primary wallet division doesn't have enough) solve that problem?
Also, another suggestion in addition to this: Shared wallet accounts! Lately I've been learning the joys that this would bring (just reactivated my account yesterday, so in this interim period I'm just running a private corp. for just my characters). Basically pay X amount of isk, and be able to add people to it. Basically just a Corporation wallet type thing, except just among individual players (for example, this would be really nice for stuff where my brother and I are jointly gathering isk... Or even just between my different characters).
CCP needs to see this thread! :D |
