Edited by: Hakaru Ishiwara on 30/11/2010 16:37:29 Pros:
1) Some long-standing and truly valuable user requests fulfilled. Well-done.
2) Haven't found any terrible bugs introduced with my limited game-play so far.
Cons:
CCP continues to 'tweak' their drop down menus and UI, creating undocumented changes which may or may not have a significant impact on game-play. This happens with nearly every patch where the discovery process reveals countless client changes not reflected in patch notes.
Edit: Oh, and wtf is up with this continued practice of "optional" patches post-release.

Actually the changes to the right click menus were mentioned in the patch notes (this time) in a general sort of way.
And I would get used to the optional patches. (They really need a better name - client only patch maybe?), as I expect that will be CCP's MO now to fix strictly client side issues - it saves them having to recompile the server code and the patches run much faster overall. --Vel

Fixed Window mode only works on single display setups. There's no way to tell Eve which monitor you want the window fixed to for multi-display setups.

Relocator in EVEMon will let you chose which monitor, if that's any help.

You've been able to do this since before the patch. Click-drag the cap left and right.

Pretty lacklustre launch considering that the main feature of the expansion is not present (Sansha Incursions) but I guess CCP have their reasons

It's been said before in many places, but it seems to not be getting through ...
"Optional" patches offered only from the client DO NOT WORK for people using Linux (via Wine).
They are made of fail.
Please offer them as a point release or something similar on the download page.

CCP, this has to be the best patch you've ever done. It is chock full of fixes and enhancements that are important yet unobtrusive. After fiddling with the client for an hour, I have yet to find anything broken.
Job well done.

P.S. Please, CCP! More patches like this one! This kind of work is what will make EVE better than ever!

Some issues I have found:
1) When drag and dropping ammo in cannons in fitting screen there's still no "drop" sound like it used to be prior to the UI refactoring.
2) The agent right click menu is annoyingly unoptimized and should be reverted. It used to have the "speak" item as first (used all the time) while now it has "add to address book" (used once in life) higher than it.
3) When loading ammo the first time since client startup, it will fail to load in the last turret (did not test the others). Drag and dropping the ammo again will work and from now on it'll work till client shutdown. - Auditing & consulting

Works in all item windows: make sure they're in list mode and right-click on the column headings to turn them on or off. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Edited by: Cedkin on 30/11/2010 18:07:42 Love the new dual monitor support Although i wish there was a vertical offset just like the horizontal one. The reason being that my second monitor is above my main monitor, i think more people would appreciate the option as well I like to post too, but sometimes i don't know what to say. So i just post something random like this post. But on the other hand, it might just all be a large signature. |

Is there a way to set "Fixed Window" + an exact resolution of 3.840 x 1.920 to span the window over both my screens without any taskbar etc.?

That option has always been there and I've needed to change it to the right monitor for the resolution I wanted.

the EVEMon relocated was only needed because EVE didn't have a windowed-maximized option built in like it should've ;)

I didn't check it on Sisi prior to launch, so we am I to point this out now...
... but why couldn't the item meta-overlays for meta 6+ (storyline/faction/deadspace/officer) have used the colour scheme that everybody knows because practically every (?) killboard out there uses it (faction red, deadspace pink, officer blue)? And keep T3 green like it was? -- [17:47] <Mephysto> its dead, jim |

I'd rather not be the one to say this, since I'm sure you're intimitely aware of this, but Linux is not a platform we support. Further more, the mechanism we use for the in-client updates isn't something that can be nicely deployed as a point release for you to download.

So far I am enjoying all the new changes. The new icons for mwd are great for my dual propped fittings. The faction markers on icons are greatly appreciated. The new market's ship section is much better and easier to navigate through. The new right click drop down menus are great. Will take a bit of getting used to, but at least there is a far less likely chance that I will hit trash or reprocess when I am in a hurry to jump into another ship.
I haven't tested the new rocket changes, but I'm looking forward to seeing how well they perform on the Hookbill. Now I can't wait to have the last skill I need to fly the Hawk.
