I'm currently training for an Orca, and am wondering if I slap some Expanded Cargo II's on it, if all cargoholds (ship, maintenance, and ore) or if only certain holds are expanded.
Thanks! ----------------------------- Welcome to EVE. Ship happens. |

There is only one cargohold on an Orca, so it is the only one affected by cargo rigs and modules. It is also affected by Industrial Command Ships skill.
Ship Maintenance Bay, Ore Bay, and Corporate Hangar are special purpose, and not affected by anything to do with cargo enhancement.

A secondary affect of this is that these holds are also immune to cargo scanning. Which means if you want a covert place to store the tastiest bits you plan to ship through highsec, use the orca's corp hangar.

Also, the contents of these holds will not drop, nor appear on a killmail.
Like the man says, keep your best stuff in the ships array or corp hangar. If someone is trying to toast your Orca, shuffle around what you can between Cargo and Corp.
That way, the goodies evaporate, and they are left with a KM for an "empty" Orca. You could be carrying 40k m3 worth of PLEX and 3-4 Guardian Vexors, and no one would be the wiser. |

The Orca is a great ship and I love mine. It`s a shame the extra holds are not expanded by rigs or cargo expanders. That said, I happily take the trade off that my ore, ship, and corp holds can`t be scanned. Many times I have carried loads that would have got me popped in the corp hangar.
