When boarding a ship from a ship maintenance array, I think you should start with 95-100% shields, and not around 30%. Whenever I board a purely shield buffered ship from the array, it can take nearly 5 minutes to recharge shields. There's just no way I can take that ship into combat in an instant if needed to. Cap charge is already to full when you board a ship from a ship maintenance array, and only this type of ship fitting is hurt in this way. Armor fits or active/recharge shield fits are not bothered by this much, so I believe targeting only shield buffer fits is quite annoying.

this is frivolous, but can i get a "Lock Camera Alignment to Ship" feature someday? So I can manually set my camera to always face the direction my ship is heading to or away from.

Edited by: Isobel Mitar on 10/02/2011 19:06:07 Some more small fix proposals:
* Being able to rearrage stacked chat windows to an order you want by drag-and-dropping tabs to the location where you want them. * Previously, right-click copy from a chat window would put on clipboard: "Some Guy > Blahblah" Now the ">" displayed in chat channel window has gone missing, and the copied text is: "Some Guy Blahblah". Can we get the ">" back? Makes lines copied from chat easier to understand. * Science & Industry: Setting a factory or lab job has a lot of unnecessary clicking and selecting. When creating new factory / lab jobs, please have the first free or shortest queue blueprint location factory / lab of the selected job type preselected for the job (and changeable from the installation selection button) * Being able to see stuff you have lying around in customs offices somehow (just a list of places and volumes would be great, adding them to asset window even better)

Surely this has come up several times in the thread already, but: "distance remaining" when warping to a deadspace site is often (always?) wrong. Once you know what you're doing you can estimate your arrival time pretty well by your warp speed but having the wrong distance show, like showing 14.1 AU remaining when you're just coming out of warp, is really dumb.
The size of the text entry field for the corp description is way too small, and doesn't support formatting supported in other text entry fields like the character bio, chat, etc.
The default web site for a corp description is "http://", which is fine, but if a corp leaves that there, the game should treat is as blank, not show "http://" in the EVE Gate description of the corp for example.
Having ship bonuses written in the prosaic text description of the ship is very unfriendly to new players. A tab of bonuses, with a standard format that always names the affecting skill ("Minmatar Frigate" or whatever), would be much clearer.
This is probably a big job to fix, but I'll throw it out there...maybe someone can suggest a way to crowdsource the solution: a lot of the game's flavor text is misleading or just wrong. My favorites: anything that describes a rat's "threat level", anything that describes the sturdiness of a frigate, and the Phobos's Roden Shipyards boilerplate that says it favors missiles (the Phobos has no launcher hardpoints).
The tutorial missions and help pages give you skillbooks for skills you start with, and also duplicate skillbooks (and conversely fail to give you some skillbooks required for the tutorial such as Industry -- seems like if that's intentional, the tutorial should mention that "now would be a good time to buy and train the Industry skill" a few pages before you get to your first manufacturing job).

Make it awesomer by Prompting the user to repair damaged goods before finishing the "Repackage All" option, quoting a price for the process etc. And giving them the option to ignore the repair process.

Some sort of overview that shows what is outside the station I'm docked at. If my ship can talk to markets light years away, why not a simple feed from the dockmaster of whats just outside. It doesn't have to be the full blown version we get in space but something.
Some sort of review option for chat windows. When you first login the corp might have a active event/fleet forming. Rather than ask whats up, a quick review of the window would answer all the questions and not crowd out the channel with people reviewing or getting annoyed have to explain it again. When the client crashes I lose the conversation stream of the windows I had open. One system I use has the command "/review" You type it in the discussion group and it spews what it has in the buffer to you. Might be days worth for low volume groups or only 15 minutes.

PLEASE re-do the corporate Tabs! Let me make as many as I want. This would save so many people headaches with corps in 0.0 in systems without stations, and WH corps when the pos is the main base of operations. Im serious this would make my life in eve so much better for my corp. (personal tab for everyone don't have to worry about stuff getting stolen or mixed with other peoples crap.)
The Ship maintenance array/all pos modules, allow more options for limiting access or allowing access don't like the current 4 options.
Also on the SMA make tabs for it so we can organize it and make it more secure.
The ability to rename all pos modules!! Why can't we? Doesn't seem that big of an order when you can already rename some.
Let us scan cloaked ships please... nothing more annoying than a red in system for a whole day or let there be a timer on how long they can be cloaked.
I think thats it, Thanks.

Massive respect to the topic author. There are so many small things that could be improved, yet the person opening a thread about them would often look silly in the eyes of many.
* I wish the in-station scene zoom level wasn't reset with every login/dock; * I wish the right-click menu didn't appear upon releasing the right mouse button after camera movement; * I wish the skillbook icon was more sci-fi gadget-like.
This is what comes in mind straight away, but there are probably more.

*separate hot keys for star map and system maps. *In-game item database (IE: not using the market search to find info on some obscure trade item or getting basic info on t2 BPCs) - at least include t2 ammo BPOs in the market search. (there are probably others like this that don't come up but ammo's the one I know about.)
*"WTF is this item used for" - planetary commodities have a production tab that shows which schematics the item is used in and a link to the schematic that produced it. Thus, you can trace back what *exactly* you need to do to make that particular item. With t2 components, one has to search manually for the BPO to get the info, then search again for for the materials's BPO/Reaction to get that info, and so on back down the line. GRR ARGH!! - "Electrical Conduit" "Alloys and special materials used in the manufacture of modules based on Ancient technology."(<-- example 2) That's nice; and that has what to do with the price of tea in china? I presume that means T3 development. Is it a building material? Is it like the handbooks and other modifiers for invention? Is it a tool like the RAM modules used for T2 construction? Yes, there are guides for this and how to use it... I don't do t3, I just find this stuff in Plexes and sell it, I want to know what I have in my hand, but I can't be bothered to spend the three hours looking through various guides trying to find the silly thing that may well be a foot note in one of the more in-depth guides when I only find the stuff every once in a while. - In short: can we please have a review of the item descriptions to be a little more useful and maybe a means of tracing backwards and forwards for industrial items like we have with the planetary commodities?

HERE HERE!!! could we get a lock "look at" option for the camera? (the camera stays based on my ship but tracks the current target.) we have a "mouse-over" option for this that works.... sometimes. A hot key toggle-able option perhaps?

Letting pilots see whats outside the station while docked would be a pretty heft change in game mechanics, mainly related to pvp.
Not taking a stance on whether this is a good idea / bad idea... but from game-story point of view, not being able to see outside the station is a little absurd. Even the tinker-toy space station we have orbiting Earth right now has windows.
If our 20-ft long capsule has a warp drive and system-wide scanner on board, why wouldn't a station have a way for its inhabitants to know what's in the vicinity outside? The station models in-game even have windows on them!

-A loot all button/hotkey *preferably without having to open the container but even if I have to open the container first it would still reduce the time spent salvaging -Time left on my subscription always listed on the character screen -Remove or reduce "talking to fleet" timer that prevents jumping and a variety of other absurd things. *Demigods should be fully capable of getting the latest gossip from the fleet and requesting jump authorization from traffic control at the same time. -The ability to sort player contacts into nameable groups -Put NPC drones from missions 'wargarble' on a different volume slider than world level. *This prevents me from hearing other critical noises later, such as wormholes ringing when bad guys jump through if I dont remember to adjust it. -Remove or the ability adjust the howling (mentioned somewhere above as a choir) in amarr stations.

Select All -> Repackage
One problem: I did that for a while and it seemed to work great. THEN ... I did it and it repackaged everything including several Giant Storage containers that I was using to categorize items based on "large" or "medium" or "small" or "Drones", etc. It did indeed repackage everything, AFTER dumping everything out of the containers into the general cargo window. It also erased all the names of the containers as it "repackaged" them. End result: Quite a while re-categorizing/separating my items back into the bins that "select all/repackage" zapped. A pain in the butt. Needless to say, I never "select all" anymore before repackaging in my station cargo storage.

When using a blueprint with a POS module, if the blueprint is inside the module, it should be obvious what array you want to use. You shouldn't need to choose the array, especially since you can't install it at any other one.
Also if you are installing a job in a slot that is currently busy it generates another warning dialog box. Please give me a tick box that allows me to turn that warning off (like many of the other warnings sprinkled through out EvE).
I'd also like to echo the request to make BPOs and BPCs slightly different icons. Doing invention from a POS it is *really* easy to lose your BPOs in the flood of BPCs.
Also make it possible to trash items from POS corp hangar like you can in a station hangar.
Make it possible for a player with corp-contracting role to make a contract for corp for an item in a personal hangar. I can sell items from my personal hangar for corp on the market, why can't I do it with contracts?

Edited by: Versuvius Marii on 10/02/2011 19:52:27 When typing(in corp, for example) and I click outside the box to target something for example, I cannot continue typing. Which is daft considering you don't press a letter on its own to activate a shortcut or any modules or ANYTHING. It used to be that if you were mid-sentence and had to click something, you could carry on with your message. Once Tyrannis deployed I could get around it by hitting Enter or Backspace, but now I can't even frikkin' well do that. FIX PLZ.
Also while not a fix as such, "Sell All" would be really freaking cool, each sell window could pop up one at a time and we can go yay or nay - with a big "Cancel All" to cancel that and all other market inquiries you have queued up in the Sell All... For somewhere like Jita or Amarr where you don't care much for price checking, I don't want to have to right click on every single module or mineral or scrap of salvage or tag or ANYTHING repeatedly, and while I'm at it please put Sell Item back where it came from. You moved Dock. Move that too.

19 pages is too much to read, so forgive me if this has been brought up earlier.
Profession Sites
- Data interface components from radar sites have a volume of 1 m3. The interfaces also have a volume of 1 m3. Who the heck packs those parts? It'd be nice to be able to fit all the parts from one site into your ship's cargohold without using up all the space, so could you make the part volume 0.01 m3 instead?
- Magnetometric sites can sometimes give rig BPCs, but they are always the Large size of rig. In most cases, this is worse than useless (anyone ever use a Large Gravity Capacitor Upgrade? EVER?) How about putting in BPCs for other sizes? You could do 50% small, 35% medium, 15% large. This would actually increase the chance you get something good without flooding the market for t2 rigs.
-Sometimes a site despawns if you have to leave, usually to keep from getting ganked, even if you haven't had a chance to check all the cans. Can you change that so a site will stay up until all cans are checked?
And give autopilot an option to change how close you warp in to a gate. Worst pilot in Goonfleet.
There's a herd of killer rabbits coming this way, and we need your help! |

Originally by: RensPriceChecker2 * fix the issue that while missioning the camera sometimes pans off into a random direction, stays there for 1-2 seconds and then turns back.
That's not a bug, it's the "turn your head towards something" feature. The most consistent operation I've found is with the list of rocks in a Survey Scanner window. Just hover the cursor over a rock and the camera moves to center that object on the screen. It also does this when hovering over a target, but sometimes when I want it, it doesn't work there, unless I move the cursor away, change the focus or something else, then come back.
You see it as "random" possibly because it happens when your mouse cursor just "flys over" something on the way to some other command you're trying to enter.

I would very very much like to:
*distinct a BPO from a BPC without having to right-click and show info.
*install using shift+click manufacturing/invention jobs of the exact same type, instead of installing them one by one.
*automatically appear on the "runs" tab the number of runs I have materials for or the number of runs remaining for a particular bpc, in order to know the maximum amount I can produce.
*return to the character selection and not the logging screen when I want to log my alt on the same account.
*insert in the map multiple solar systems and let the map create the shorter route I can use so that I can pass by all of them.
*buy multiple items of the same type from the LP store at once, instead of buying them one by one (which is pretty tiring).
*be able to put in a contract items from different stations within a range (e.g. solar system, number of jumps, region). Even a new skill for that can be created, or it can be affected by the "contracting" skill ;)
*not having to pause skill training when jumping in a clone; it can be automatically paused and start again on its own.
*be able to drag&drop an item from the market directly into the chatbox.
It's a great job you are doing, keep up guys!!!!
