I trained amarr ships for the recons, So I have never used turrets. I enjoy doing WH in a drake c1-3 I want to switch to the legion since im very close to on TQ to owning one. Ive run the legion on test and it seems with out 2 tracking computers I can't even touch frigs.
Thing is on the WH fits on Battle Clinic none have Tracking computers or enhancers, I roamed test server for a few days and could not find a single wh to test this on.
This is my fit so far
[Legion, WH] Energized Thermic Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Tracking Enhancer II Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II
Tracking Computer II, Tracking Speed Cap Recharger II 10MN Afterburner II
Medium Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency S Medium Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency S Medium Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency S Medium Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency S Medium Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency S Core Probe Launcher I, Core Scanner Probe I
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Legion Defensive - Nanobot Injector Legion Electronics - Emergent Locus Analyzer Legion Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Legion Offensive - Liquid Crystal Magnifiers Legion Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
*I have no plans to spend a bill on faction gear so let the t2 be the way it is.
Thanks.

Judging from your dps figures you've got really low gunnery skills, so I really wouldn't bother with a gun fit legion... It'll take all day to complete a site with that much outgoing damage.
If you've got decent missile skills you could perhaps use a HAM Legion, but not really any point in doing that over a drake due to the limited range.
Flying that with low skills in a wormhole just makes you a expensive and easy kill for anyone hunting there.

I run a similar fit with 3x heatsinks and 5x Heavy pulse lasers and put out 500dps with my skills/implants. It's not like my gunnery skills are immense either.

How about fitting medium guns instead of small guns?

Personally I'd say its worth using a slightly better faction repper and only one of them, swapping some rigs to armor rep boosting ones and fitting a 3rd resist module. Corelum C-types aren't too expensive.

Anyone know if the frigs in wh are destroyer sized? Watched a youtube, no tracking computer or enhancers and he was nailing them.

I use an absolution in C3's and can confirm I have no problems hitting frigs without tracking computers. Hell you can even hit them with Scorch, and that has a tracking penalty.

This fit is not as expensive as you think, and in all honesty getting caught in w-space without a MWD is a death sentence.
Tanks 586 dps with my skills.
*EDIT*
Forgot to mention, you can overheat that rep to almost an 800 dps tank, and honestly you'll be able to overheat one rep a lot longer than two, nearly FOUR minutes with my skills.

I think using a Energized Adaptive Membrane, or a DC2 instead of the Kinetic Hardener should give you a better tank overall. I'm currently running a Thermal Hardener and 2x Imperial Navy EAMN's on my fit.
I'd check out Sader's suggested fit though, C type repper can work wonders, leaves you with more cap and slots than running 2x T2 reppers and if I remember correctly costs around 70-80m which is good for the boost it will give you over a T2 repper. Another thing that may help you out, if you have powergrid spare (which I think you should do) Fitting a T2 large cap battery in a midslot instead of a cap recharger produces a huge amount more cap than the recharger does, this should free up your rigs for armor rep modules and hopefully allow you to fit another heatsink :)
On my C3 legion I'm using the tactical targetting sub, really helps to get a quick lock on the frigates so you can hit them with scorch at long range before they start getting under your guns - although I also run with a Tracking computer and a web to lock down closer targets to melt with faction multifrequency ammo.

IMHO if you spend any money beyond T2 on a wormhole legion it should be on a fed navy web. The web is probably how people are hitting stuff at close range, and I don't think you'll need the range bonus of a TC in a C3. Talking of which, yes go DC or EANM rather than kinetic hardener, but honestly you're overtanked.
That fit with an mwd is kinda nice, dunno how much of a pain it would be solo if you found you needed to keep pulsing it with no web, but yes it could save you.
Once again I'll put these up:
[Legion, cheap no escape] Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II Armor EM Hardener II Armor Thermic Hardener II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II
Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II 10MN Afterburner II Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I

[Legion, cheap mine atm] Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II Armor EM Hardener II Armor Thermic Hardener II Capacitor Power Relay II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II
Medium Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 400 Cap Recharger II 10MN Afterburner II Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency M
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Legion Defensive - Nanobot Injector Legion Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Legion Electronics - Tactical Targeting Network Legion Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst Legion Offensive - Liquid Crystal Magnifiers
Can go with the DS front in case of unexpected pvp but TTN works better for pve. Cap booster isn't needed for stability, is for GTFO and also sleeper neuting in January. The probes and salvager are naturally on a different dedicate ship & alt. |
