This is a call to more experienced pirate corps! I'm the CEO of a small startup corp and have a lot of very new pirates training to bring the pain. In time they may join more serious pirate corps, but until then it's my responsibility to train them in the various methods of mayhem and get them comfortable starting their own fleets and working with other pirates to achieve isk-based objectives. ...so if you're game here's how you can help: I'd like to dec 2-3 nice soft empire indy corps. Large corps with lots of slow-moving, easy haulers and freighters are ideal. Have you had a successful campaign lately? Are you aware of such a corp? If you're interested in earning a few "good" pirate karma points, I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Few things make a person more hated, than corporate theft. It's also obscenely profitable, and an excellent source of ships and financing for your wee pirates.

Pickings are pretty slim for this. Most new corps get wardeccd when they reach the ~30 player marked by experienced griefer corps and learn quick that they cant be slow and dumb.
Frankly if there was a medium to large corp out there with free indy kills flying left and right and no pvp 'wing' it would been deccd to the point that all of the pilots would have left by now.
Your best bet is to find a ~20 - 30 member missioning corp, get an alt that can scan down people in missions. You dec the corp, get member names from battliclinic or infiltrate the corp with an alt, then you add the members as contacts. When you're online you run locator agents to find the mission runners and send in the scanning alt. Your force waits 1-2 jumps out until you have the scan-in.
Often times with the the small corp will form up fail fleets and try to engage you in your home system, this can be fun.
In order to find a good target you can just hang out at gates in popular regions and check the info on pilots and the corp attributes for members. Set the corp to yellow or orange to see how many buddies they have around for the next couple days.

Very good tips. Thanks! We have guys w/ cargo scanners on some interesting choke points in .5 systems right now... checking things out. Sounds like I should be thinking of issuing a greater volume of wardecs if I want to keep everyone busy... or maybe just choose a new target every week or two to keep things fresh. |

So you want to get into pirating, by paying the police to fight on legal terms in highsec (heh). And you want to train up pilots, using other peoples information, and expecting your pilots to leave when they get a bit more experienced?
Either this is a pretty obvious troll, or you might find yourself on the end of a wardec.
..but hell, I'll play nice. Wardec RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE, I hear they're low-sp indy characters and like to hang out in highsec. - I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |

Empire War Decs on LARGE targets ... sit in the trade routes and note who you see come through the gates in the types of ships you want to farm ...
Check the forums ... people hate us

Real pirates prey on the weak, stupid, and rich; they don't look for ~goodfights~ with other pirates like most lowsec "pirates". Since most of the juicy targets are in highsec so focus on scanning out missioners, stealing their loot, and trying to get them to aggress so that you can gank them. Griefer wars are fun too. ---------------

Sorry I wasn't clear, not cargo scanners, expanded probe launchers with combat scanning probes. You can use a locate agent to find out where a wartarget is and if they are docked up. If they are not docked up you can send a neutral alt to that system with a probe launcher, probe out the location of the target and jump them.

My fun in EvE in the past has been the hunt. War dec a corp 30x your size and hunt them down one at a time, being careful to not alert them to where you are. After a week of coming out of nowhere and destroying ship after ship they stop undocking, something that camping them in station would never do. Few days into the second they start hemorrhaging players until they go inactive or disband.
We liked the good fights too, won a 2v10 and a 5v15 once, but spending an hour or two mapping a characters patterns, finding a safe route in, keeping track of any reinforcements, setting up and waiting for the moment to strike then perfectly executing and leaving... Ahh i miss that.
anywhoo, i want my loki back :p ----------- |

War is the way to go. Don't listen to the Paladins and their whining about fair fights and killing haulers in high sec.
Give Stellar Economy Experts a go. I decced them a while ago, they were okay. Hang around Rens and Heimatar mostly.

I wouldn't waste my time tbh, they stay docked most of the time and when they got 4-1 odds they fail blob you, if they got less they won't undock.
