Tried some invention, using 1 copy BPC's of a Large Trimark I. Got the Tech II variant, but it came out with ME/PE/Copy of -2/1/1
I used the Classic Doctrine decryptor, that should have added 2/5/1 to the BPC. Now, ME and PE came out all right... but came out with a single copy!.
The copy that the Classic Doctrine adds, takes into account you use a max run BPC? Meaning, it's 2 copies with Classic Doctrine AND Max Run BPC, or it's 3 copies with Classic Doctrine and Max Run BPC? --------------------------

Rigs are always single run, unless the BPC was made from a very old and rare large rig BPO with 1000 runs.

you needed to use a MAX run bpc to get any additional runs using a decryptor. By using a one run bpc to invent from, the invented T2 copy will only have one run no matter what decryptor you use. That is why your success got only one run with the correct me/pe.

Then that means that Classic Doctrine only gives me that extra copy when I use a Max Run BPC, or it means it will give me an 3rd copy when I use it with a Max Run BPC?
That's the problem I have. Nowhere says that it shuld give only 1 copy. What we know of the decryptor Classic Doctrine is that gives an extra copy, no matter of the number of copies of the BPC used.
I mean, what I'm not considering? --------------------------

Yes.
If you do not use decryptors then use 1 run bpcs. If you use decryptors then you a max run bpc or else you get 1 less run than you should.

Ah, thank you! I kinda suspected it, but glad it was confirmed. --------------------------

That is wrong!
If you use a 1 run bpc and the decryptor that gives +9 runs, you will get 9 runs. If you use a max run bpc with the +9 decryptor, you will get 10 runs.

Thanks for the tip, will later try more invention with max run BPC's, then. --------------------------

But then, I used a Classic Doctrine decryptor, that adds one more copy to the result, should I have not received a BPC of 2 copies then? If I got you right, that Classic Doctrine gives an extra copy, is a lie. --------------------------

This is for rigs and ships only!!!
examples:
1 run bpc with no decryptor = 1 run bpc 1 run bpc with classic doctrine (+1 run) = 1 run bpc
max run bpc with no decryptor = 1 run bpc max run bpc with classic doctrine (+1 run) = 2 run bpc
the only way to get 2 runs with a classic doctrine decryptor is you use a max run bpc. Anything less (even 1 run less than a max run) will only give you 1 run.
