Edited by: Spruillo on 08/12/2010 19:30:10 K so now Im in FW and besides running around jumping motherless caldari rat-bastards inmission with my antistealthbomberstealthbomber, what about all those reckless profitteering scum-sucking stateless opportunists running around getting fat off their pi and plexing and moon mining caring nothing about the security and well-being of the Gallente Federation.
Case in point, last night I was doing a radar site to further fund my war efforts when these scumsucking rat bastard randoms from a corp based in solitude but running moon goo operations in placid probed down my radar site knowing full well I was running it and came in with enyo and went straight for my radar cans so I uncloaked my legion and laid into him, just as he hit structure his but-buddy came in with arazu and he warped off as I was pve fit so I burned to the arazu closer than his dampening and latched to him with my web and laughed at his warrior doing 5 damage for an exellent hit and proceeded to punish him thoroughly with my pulse-lazors-of-Justice even though he too warped off well in structure to cower behind pos sheilds most likely to engage in homoerotic mutual consolation with his enyo friend
Now obviously, this is technically 'piracy', which I understand most legitimate FW corps who I hope to cooperate with in the future are against but I feel my wrath is fully justifiable against the swarms of bottom-feeding miscreants infesting Gallente losec like a parasitic worm. THIS WILL BE DEALT WITH
tl;dr how will this form of 'justifiable piracy' affect my relations with factionwarriors in general and more to the point, how will it affect my FW career game-mechanics wise.
CONCORD and sec status is completely separate irrelevant from my faction standings and ranking amirite?

Lock, Point, Kill. Don't shoot blues, purples or nice looking stars. Try to stay above -5 sec. Its not piracy, its protecting federation space against scumsuckers that only try to profit without aiding if you need a reason for an extra bit of potential pewpew :)

RP'ing aside (nice OP btw :)) there are a couple of things you should consider before going below -5 whilst participating in FW.
1) there are alot of dummies in FW, often time you will have your overview set to "not" show allied militia, many of the noobs however, won't. So u may find yourself being shot at by some1 who isnt currently appearing on ur overview simply because he does not have his set up correctly.
2) If you end up flying with the more established corps within FW who often fly with RR setups and / or logistics ships, there is a current bug with the game mechanics which mean when a militia member assists a member of his friendly militia (even same corp!) they infact lose gallente standings. So if u are below -5, or GCC at that particular point in time, don't expect reps from your fleet mates.
If neither of those facts bother you, then shoot away, piracy is hella fun Don't believe the hype! |

Edited by: Mutnin on 08/12/2010 23:47:57 I'm in FW and pirate, in fact most of my targets tend to be non militia. If people in your militia shoot at you because your flashy, simply war dec them if they don't stop. However be prepared to have noobs with bad OV's shoot you by mistake.
If you want a RP reason to be able to pirate while working for one of the states, just do your piracy in your WT's space.

Tekitha is right, just stay above -5 and you're good to go. Highsec is lame anyways. ~

Now, you all have to admit, this kind of attitude is full of WIN and is what makes Eve interesting. Spruillo I wish you the best of luck out there - it sounds like you're having a ton of fun already.

Clearly the Gals didn't have enough time to form up a 15-20 man response fleet to assist you.

Yes, well, I readily admit that despite his racial handicap my Amarr pilot is very useful to me. And he is thoroughly loyal to the principles and vision of the Gallente cause, loyalty born and ideals forged in the suffering he endured at the hands of his own people.
Born to an aristrocratic slave holder family, he developed a keen interest in the arts and left his family and his inheritance with all it's attendant expectations and responsibilities and began to write children's books, full of depth and symbolism and illustrated by colorful paintings of the Emperor consuming *****.
Failing to see the symbolism and deeper meaning in his work, it was judged at face value by an outraged public and he was persecuted from planet to planet and system to system until he had enough and renounced his entire heritage.
Now a Gallente citizen, his crappy artwork appears in children's books in schools everywhere and in his spare time he joins me to shoot stuff with lazors.
