My corp has decided that would should try fielding a small gang supported by Electronic Warfare for our coming war in high sec and I got the job of providing ECM support.
Since I by no means at all am capable of flying Recon ships, but have mostly have above average skills for Caldari, the Blackbird was the natural choice, especially because it is cheap and will more or less be a one-shot-wonder.
I have been reading here on the forum and a little on the wiki and come up with the fit below and was wondering if any of you could provide some pointers. I have a few concerns: 1) Should I remove the hardener or LSE for an AB/MWD? 2) Which is the better 3 Multi jammers (and more tank) or 4 racials with one of each race?
Thank you in advance

It was only meant as a Drone blaster, though at the range I plan to be hanging drones should be the least of my worries. ALso with a MIGHTY range of 4km no "innocent" bystanders will be damaged until they want to come and give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek while they are at it --- I think violence in games only causes violence in real life if the person in question has an insufficient mental capacity to deal with the real world in the first place |

I wouldn't worry at all about Tank.
For T1 simple cheap throw away version:
3 Heavy Missile Launchers Energy Neutralizer
Standard T1 version of each racial AB or MWD whichever fits Sensor Booster II with Scan res script
2 Signal Distortion Amplifiers
If you want rigs: Medium Particle Dispersion Projector
For better results, upgrade everything to T2, despite what people here may or may not say (Some people like best named over T2).
Also, a quick search of battleclinic found this BB. I dunno about using Smartbombs in high sec as I've never used them, but I thought all AOE weapons were banned in high sec?

Swap the invuln for a MWD, and use all your rigs to augment jamming strength and range. I always fit a medium neut in the highs as a last-ditch resort if something ever gets close, but that is personal preference.
Other than that, you're on the right track. Stick with 4 racial jammers. Happy jamming!

It's a fact that Meta 4 jammers have the exact same strength as T2 jammers, with lower fitting needs.

The blackbird is great ship but don't over look the EW frigates. Read up on their racial capabilities and you may have a few ideas pop into your head.
As to which jammers to fit, I don't know mathematically if 4 multi-specs or 4 racials (one of each) give you a better jam against a given single ship. But if you go with the four racial jammer and have two ships of the same race locked, it's certain that one of them will have zero racial jammers on it. Of course you may be able to narrow down the options with a bit of intel gathering (you are after all now the designated EW/Cloaky pilot in the clubhouse). If you can, for example, determine that your opposition flys mainly Caldari ships with just a few Amarr thrown in, you may decide to fly three Grav jammers and one multi-spec.
Have fun!
