Sometimes new corp mates ask me, where can i build this item or ship ?
Is it possible to build inside a station, what building do i need inside a pos ? Is there an index or a list ?
For example small, medium, large, xlarge, supercapital ship assembly. Here you can build Battleship on an x-large and on a large assembly array. How about battlecruisers ? So you can build raven together with a moros inside an xlarge assembly array. But can you also build a moros inside a supercapital array ? Components can be build in stations, but how about capital ships ? Which fitting can be build in an equipment array, where to bild clone vats ? Where do i build fighters ? Not in a drone assembly array, but in a small ship assembly, or was it medium ?
Most questions i can answer fast, but some i have a hard time to remember. Thats why i would like to find out a list or pages on wiki to lookup fast which item can be build where.

Edited by: Aphrodite Skripalle on 10/12/2010 12:15:32 Thank you, this is a start, but its sort of inclomplete. Eg. you can build in stations but you cannot build everything in any station. Also there are amarr stations with bonus on building. Still you cant see for specific items where they can be build, eg. clone vat bay. If i look up in wiki for it, it will give info, but not where i can build it. There are lots of more items which are not obvious, so easiest way always is try and error. This works if you have a big building pos, but doesnt work when you are very limited, eg. wh space, hostile environment or war around you.
There is still a lot of information about building scenarious you hardly can get informations just with reading.
/edit: i am surprised about advanced labs. They just give 2 more slots in making copies, rest they are just bad, not even being able to do PE.

Apparently you didn't notice the .65 time multiplier for advanced labs. They make copies faster than regular labs.

Open the science and industry menu and under activity select manufacturing. Mouse over one of the installations listed and it will show a popup listing producible categories (accessories, celestial, charges ect) and producible groups (assault ship, shuttle, industrial ect) In an npc station you can produce pretty much anything that isn't a cap ship, except freighter/jump freighters which can be built in stations as well.
I've never bothered building at a pos so I haven't looked into those modules in a long time.
This is not the alt you are looking for. |

Here's a list of what arrays are for: * Fits on a ship (rigs + modules): equipment array * Goes in a module (ammo, cap charges, scripts, etc.): ammunition array * Fighters: small ship array * T3 Subsystems + T3 Hulls: subsystem array * Ship: use a ship array (typically the same as the rig size) * Drones: drone array * Starbase and sovereignty structures can only be built at a station or outpost. * None of the above: component array
Component Assembly Arrays also use 50% of the grid of a Corporate Hangar Array (CHA), and provide 71% of the storage. You can't build stuff with a CHA either! CHA do have one feature no other array does: you can Trash items.

Nice clear guide there :)
Just need a slight clarification on one point.
I want to build a Rorqual in my C4, Will the X-large Assembly array also build smaller ships, Ie Cruiser or even Fighters?
I would rather not have an Array of every type if the largest can do the job, Only planning for occasional small ship jobs so not worried about the PG/Cpu useage while it is online.

Edited by: Echo Mande on 22/12/2010 17:47:16 Bring a couple of these if you want to build a rorqual in your WH. They've got 10 slots which comes in handy sometimes.
* T2 & capital components; RAM: Component array
Cheers!
