If yes here are a few ways without using captcha.
1. when a message pops up, change the position and size of it on screen. Make it random.
2. Change the color of text and icons. Make the just slightly random, the average user will not notice the difference but a macro will get confused.
3. Transparency, transparent windows are very difficult to macro because, the values keep changing.
4. Randomly change the position where the warp button is located.
5. Switch random ICE in the belt to have 0 ICE, so they would appear on overview but would need a human to detect the amount.

Like piracy it is a losing battle. Any solutions will always be bypassed. Just the way of the world.
Having said that, I'm willing to bet the biggest deterrent is actually hulkageddon.
And it brings people together!!!

... 5 neuts in system, scanner shows all ravens, gone from scan after 5 seconds next system ... 5 neuts in system, scanner shows all ravens, gone from scan after 5 seconds next system ... 5 neuts in system, scanner shows 3 ravens, 2 tengus, gone from scan after 5 seconds next system 2 neuts in system, scanner shows thanatos and tengu, logged after 20 seconds.
..
you can not not see them.
but... another unholy rage will not happen, since the last time income for ccp dropped too significantly.

please dont be nieve.
CCP know that they need macro miners to keep trit levels at what they are. no-one in their right minds would want to mine trit for nearly no profit.
they dont want to admit it... but any half decent economist who plays the game will know its essential. tbh its too close to real life... western civilization needs the third world for them to live comfortably... its the way the world works... if CCP try to deny it they are stupid.

Actually CCP don't want macro miners. They are not cost effective from a commercial point of view and have published figures to support this. If they were CCP would not have the section of the EULA that banns the use of macros.
Say the average player send 3 hours on line a day, so they spend approximately 90 hours a month. CCP work out the costs of providing sufficient hardware and bandwidth for the player lets call this X, add an overhead to cover GM's, development etc plus a small amount of profit, lets call this Y.
So the cost of a months subscription is X+Y=Z
For a macro account you are talking about 24 hours per day (I know is less due to down time but it keeps the maths simple).
So the macro account owners pay Z for there account.
Z-y- 8X (since macro accounts are on for 6 times as long) = 7X in extra costs to CCP.
If CCP wanted to keep trit cheap they could lust modify the refine rates to increase the amount produced or release super Veldaspar in larger quantities. Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congratulated by carebears for the actions. |

It's easy,
1) Allow the GM to spawn a Large Pink Bunny which spawns over their module buttons. 2) GM turns off Modules, Spawns Bunny 3) GM initiates conversation, 4) If player tries to reactive and not talk, then bot. 5) Ban and repeat

In b4 the chribba.
Secondly i think that now even though most are bots, they however have some people at the keyboard, to respond to convos among other things, to make it look less likely they are bots.
But put on your pirate hat and steal loot.

Why would CCP care about the price of tritanium?
A server-wide trit shortage would shake up the markets tremendously and if there's one thing EVE relies on to keep things interesting, its the occasional shake-up.

lol if all the macros in the game left all at once the markets wouldnt just get a shake up! lol, trit, pyr and ice prices are kept low soley because of macros. these are the basic building blocks of the game you know and love.
the cost of keeping the game stable (gameplay) easily out weighs the extra cost of players on the server.... also thats not how the server works.
