Ok atm most mega setups rely upon 800 cap boosters to work properly.
And any Blaster setup is serverly limited by cap, the problem as i see it is this. With the new HP changes will a mega have enough cap now to last till the end of the battle?
With HP getting more or less doubled i think the answer is no.
Question is is this going to mean every one loves the apoc + raven more or will it mean people will go rails for range when projectiles wil do a better job (up comeing fix).
My 2 cents is that Hyb's should have a cap reduction on them because as it stands a blaster-thron will get threw 70% of ur shields then stall as its got no cap left, which will leave them in a worse off position then before........

Errrrrrr......hmmmmm......ahhhh...NO. In short. Get a Raven....or a Raven or a Raven. Im getting one next. My mega is confined to mining duties and will soon be shelved for rust and dust or sold to anyone dumb enough to buy one. When I get 20 mill skill points in a year or so's time I might test it out again. With 2 heavy cap injectors in for safe measure

I suggest a change to nosferatus to favour short range setups that are cap hungry. ie boosting nosferatu energy nicked to 150 if within 5km or something. 2 of them on a megathron and your guns have been taken care of. Mimiru > It'd be a tie, the monkies nerfed pooflinger wouldnt have enough tracking to hit the parrot orbiting him, but the parrot's beak is so small it couldnt break the monkey's fur tanking. |

that doesn't fix the problem it just forces us to use nos's

and how would you fit 6 neuts and two heavy nos ?
cause 6 ions or electrons arent gonna do enough damage for you to survive after these hp changes. tbh, I'm quite sure even 7 neutrons wouldn't last till your cap is dry or you died to counterfire since your mega is relying on ******* structure instead of armor or shields tanked to hell and back like the rest have. _______________________________________________

Megathron will have big issues with the cap in 1vs1 fight after the comming patch. Eve seems to be going more and more towards a fleet battle game and less focused on 1vs1 fights.
However if you get 2 megathron pilots that er specialised in using blasters you can easily wreck havoc on 2 opposing bships and still have cap left after the battle. The key is you can break their tanking very fast and they'll never be able to use their full cap to save them.

Hence why im going for "the CCP sponsored all singing all dancing get into a PVP ship quick... Raven". I will most likely train for specialisation after I'm a mediocre Raven pilot in the hope the Mega will have a little tweak to the cap area and possibly pg requirements of their guns.
(PS dont increase HPs - bring out BIGGER ships!)

This is where the blasterthron has its use, breaking someones tank regardless of how much cap they may have left to use, however, the new hp changes have been brought in so that this will not be possible, and that people will last long enough to use their cap to conteract damage, so then, whats the mega supposed to do?
Personally rather than taking ships and nerfing them or boosting them, imo ccp should rethink what the ship is there to do, and balance it from scratch, although thats a lot of hard work and time, i would have rather had well balanced ships, than indestructable death-stars (POS) but thats just my opinion.
<edit> Just for the record, although it isnt ideal, as it stands, unless they change something about blasters or the mega as a whole, it just means changing setups and adapting, oh and creating posts constantly *****ing about it, almost like projectile users (j/k)

i was jsut thinking about it as i ran out of cap and after a duel had a friend who was in a raven and i was on 80% structure and he was on 30% shields, that after it all gets boosted fights will last longer but for the last say 2 mins of the fight the mega will be sat there waiting for cap :\ and will be at more of a disadvantage..but it helps out armour tankers a bit but **** over a mega with blasters even more.....
