Hi,
As a director of a corporation, I have to screen potential members that apply. In the past we have had one or two pirates get in because the screening was not so good, and they ransomed and killed some of our corporation members. Now we check employment history, and Eve Kill and Battle Clinic websites. The problem is, my understanding of these websites is they rely on API access to collate the kills they show, so if the player does not have an API linked to the account then any of their kills will not show (I may be wrong about this).
What would be great would be an option on the corporate application context menu, that said "View Kill Reports", clicking this menu item would bring up a list of that players kill reports from in game, in much the same way as the View War Record option works. The benefit of this, ALL kill information is available for you to check, it doesn't require use of 3rd party websites, which are often out of date, and it allows the people making the decision to accept or deny to make an informed decision.
Obviously this suggestion is not going to make a corporation 100% safe, pirates, and such will still manage to slip through the screening process, but it would give a personnel manager more pertinent information to work with so that the process while not perfect is better then it is currently.
Thanks for looking at my suggestion.

Why not require an API key from new corp members and plug that into eve-kill? It should show their kill history. If you want to recruit safely you need to put effort into it, and the mechanisms are already there to do this. EVE's 4th of July Fireworks |

If I was a CEO, I would require a basic API for kills and skills. Then I could easily check kill histories. |

Right, but it still requires the use of a 3rd party website, and I don't see where being a game feature is a bad thing, there is already corporation kill mail lists available to directors, and CEO's and War Reports which do this exact functionality, and the player has Combat Log in their character profile.
All I was asking was that when making a corporation application, the players Combat Log would become public to the corporation they applied to, so that it can be checked.
Obviously as I said there are ways of doing it now, I just don't see why something that is already in the game mechanics can't be implemented as a feature instead of requiring the use of a 3rd party website.
PS: If you could give me the link to a website that I can type a characters API into and get the Kill Mails from, I would really appreciate it, because I have been unable to find one. All I could find in Eve Kill and Battle Clinic is how to look up characters registered, not how to check an API, maybe I am missing something. |

It doesnt require a third party website; the eve api is available to everyone, and you can make calls to it yourself. |
