Ok, there are a few things I was wondering:
I - Is an assault ship adequate for lvl III agent (kill) missions, with moderate skills
II - Any suggestions for Gallente Assault Ship set ups (as well as comparison of the two)
III - Any experiences people have had with flying these ships on lvl III agent missions.
Thanks a lot! "Guns don't kill people, people kill people, as do monkeys (if they have a gun)." |

I do so with an harpy...
actually my skill are quite good but not that good (i dont have t2 guns)
I can do almost any mission without problem some require me to warp out as 3 or 4 cruiser can do quite good amount of dammage in a frigate even if its an assault one.
So yes u can do them but i dont think about pirate extravaganza...
For ur gallente setup ... dunnow :)
Yeah im caldari... and yeah im flying a megatron...
Why coz maybe now only caldary are tough enough to fly those and evryone use caldari ship...

One word: Retribution
It works wonders against NPCs with good skills, I fly one and love it, can even do PVP with a webber... Vin Diesel claims he has never hailed a taxi. He just runs up to them at stop lights, opens the door, shoves the current passenger over, and tells the cab driver what his new destination is. |

3x Light Ion Blasters (T2) Nosferatu (named) --------------------- 1mn AB (T2) Webby (named) Cap Recharger (whatever you can afford) --------------------- Small Armour Repairer (named) Energized Plating (NPC-specific) Damage Mod (T2)
4x Medium Drones.
The (T2) or (named) are because you start running out of pg when you upgrade to t2 stuff. I find it best to use t2 blasters and a named armour repairer. The blasters have the same fitting requirements as 125mm rails, so you can swap them around if you want more range. If you can fit more drones, do so, but I only have Assault Ships 3. I think 1 heavy and 2 medium drones are better when you get Assault Ships 4.
Good luck!
Edit: This setup works well for hunting NPCs as well.
Other Edit: You can swap the Nosferatu for a Small Remote Armour Repairer if you want, so you can repair your drones without having to return to a station.
Another Edit: If you swap the Nos for the Remote Repairer, you can fit a t2 repairer instead. Which could be good.

Best blasters you can fit, Web and propulsion in the middle, small armor tank down below.
I used an Enyo for about two days doing missions and loved it. Then, like an ass, I pounced on the mercenary bounty hunter in the Merc assasination mission which web and warped me while kiting me outside of gun range. 5 minutes later, kaboom . . . embarassing.
Deimos is awesome, btw.

I do the missions in my Wolf and don't have any problems with them. I do suggest you pack a rocket launcher with defenders, they saved my hide quite a few times. Heavy missiles are the only real threat, when orbiting almost no turret fire ever hits you, but those missiles can pack quite a punch.

I lost my Vengence on a lvl 3 mission fighting a Minmatar Navy convoy. The ship was just too slow with a 1ab and I found the Pulse lasers even with radio fitted gave me a 25 km range. The Minmatar rats were faster than me and stayed out of my range while peppering me with heavy missiles. Ass launcher is a must tbh lobbing def missiles everywhere, but alas my ship blew as i warped away from 2 stabbers and a rupture with frig support.
So possibly a Minmatar ass frig with the speed and ability to take a mwd would be fine. Personally im training Battlecruiser to 4 asap. (I think my bs is overkill)

I use an enyo and with tech 2 125s and a tech 2 armour rep and can do the pirate extravagnza easier than in my mega. The main thing is to make sure you've got good cap skills so u can run your rep and fire for a long time. I also use iridium charges to stay orbit at 25k - out of small missile and webber ranges. U need good gunnery skills too -assault frig lvl 3 helps alot.

Also consider that the assault frigs are all geared to resist their traditional racial enemy's damage types. Caldari assaults have obscene thermal/kinetic resistance to negate the Gallentean hybrid-users... so if you have problems, consider finding an agent in a region that spawns rats that your ship resists well. e.g. serps user hybrids so missions in areas where the rats are serp would be much easier than if you did 'em in an area with blood or sanshas...
