Has anyone had any success with using OCR software with EVE? I've tried using ABBYY but it just can't seem to pick up the text. I'm trying to export item lists from the tabs in an Assembly Array into a spreadsheet.

You need to petition what you want to do. 3rd party programs can not interface directly with EVE. I dont know how CCP views it, but I would assume having one lift text or what ever out of the game live is a big no. Cant you use the API? I know in game we can see corp assets in space try pulling the corp asset list API.

He's running OCR on screenshots, no issue with that. But yeah, use the API. --

Yup was trying to run it on screenshots. Sorry for the noob question but how do you access the corp asset API? Is it contained within your personal full api data?

Check for POS structures with flag=0, it will be stuff in space (and maybe some other stuff but it only returned arrays & stuff inside them for me)
In those <row>' childs, you'll find all the items inside those arrays. And with some manual work you can associate the itemID of arrays with their name for a better result.
Also beware that the AssetList call has a 23 (?) hour cache timer (which means you can only get fresh data once every 23 hours) _ WTS Capital BPOs |

I'd suggest just using one of the many available asset management applications using the EVE API. --

201 error. I guess I need director access? Or can I be granted specific roles that will allow my API to pull the data?

You need a director level api.

Alternatively get your director to give you his full API key.
Full api = can see everything but not touch.
This all depends on whether your just a grunt in the corp or someone in the hierarchy.
