Your corp taxes 10%. You want to run missions. You have to leave your corp and join another with no tax - if you want to make the most of your time.

Leaving your corp just so you don't have to pay taxes makes you a scrooge.

Depressing. What a great teamwork attitude you have. With any luck, they don't let you back in.
CCP Zulu..... Forcing players to dock at the captain's quarters is a form of what we actually wanted to get through, which is making Incarna a seamless part of the EVE Online experience. |

Depressing. So join a corp with no tax? If all you care about is maximizing the amount of isk you make running missions. Go create a 1 man corp and set the tax to 0. |

I keep my corps taxes at zero %.
Wait, hang on: There is a down side.
My corp offers no offices, ammo, BPCs, replacement plans, or anything else. We are independent players who feel we should provide for ourselves. I never used offices. I have PE5, so I make my own ammo. For me, I never saw the benefit of corp taxes. If that works for you, then a corp like mine is a better fit for you. Otherwise, that ISK has to come from someplace.
You get back what you put into corp taxes whenever you use corp resources. |

This basically.
Despite common belief, you can run these and not be insta war dec'ed five minutes after creation. Don't talk trash in local (in fact don't talk at all) get your occassional vulture jsut let it slide and is months to years of 100% money to you. Be the ghost in the machine...and most will not bother with you. The "griefer corps" look for whiney/trash talking idiots most of the time. talk trash and you get their interest. Either to see if you can back it up...or to teach you to stfu and enjoy your week long vacaction.
To offset applicants applying make your 1 man tax rate high as hell. Mine is 75% or something. If you put don't apply in the bio, peepes won't read it. 75% tax rate....most read however lol. Its your money...you control the corp wallet. Great for funding jita alts much easier as a bene as well.
Or find a corp that does something for you with the tax rate. Its a 2 way street with the tax rate. you pay the taxes, corp is supposed to to give you something back. Someting besides companionship lol (I get this for free, private chat channles with in game friends). Ship/mod/ammo deals, etc....this the stuff you should be looking for. Not getting that, you found a leach corp and best leave it imo. |

Wait, I've never seen a corp that offers those benefits. Most of the time the taxes are just pocketed.

If there is a corp tax, and you don't have some access to a wallet section, your likely in the wrong corp.
Exceptions of course. Like if your corp offers full ship and module reimbursement, I woudl hope there was a tax. |

Suck it up buttercup, at least you got in. Wait, me or the OP? I'm a CEO. o.O;
Btw, most of the corps I've been in had those benefits. At the least, I had hanger access... which I found to be useless. Ok, I did use a BPO or two to build a few things. That's about it, and I could get BPCs cheap elsewhere.
As for getting in, I see a lot of recruitment. There are plenty of corps who want and need players. If your corp is not working out, find another one.
Back on topic, I don't think that this has been mentioned, but taxes are controlled by the CEO. It can be "anywhere from 0-100% ... 5-10% is the average rate (EVE-U)." I have seen them as high as 15% in some corps, which is high. Anyway, my point is that CCP is not charging you the ISK, the CEO of the corp is. |
