Any chance we'll see the ability to change bloodline or something? I made a Khanid because they (at the time) were the most normal looking of characters and had decent looking ships. With the new creator I'm seeing that Gallente and Caldari, and even *Amarrian* (Not Khanid) have a (semi-)european look.
No offense or anything, but I'm not totally happy about being pigeon-holed into being Asian. |

Not sure if this is the right place, but I'd kindly ask for one thing... Please give us the option of putting in the background i've got behind me, or something similar, the white rabbit skull. I really love it and would cry if I couldn't put that in my new character. As far as I've seen, it's not there yet :(

Yesterday I wasn't able to run the SisiLauncher without fail but today it works again. A bunch of files were missing, aprox.104MB on top of yesterdays automatic 13-15MB patch. Backgrounds and icons are back and the portrait mode is working again.
Other than it works correctly again there seem to be no other improvements or additional accessories.
The character still fidgets too much when sculpting and the posing expressions are as limited as before (could you please make the smile a bit more natural by allowing us to change the upper lip position. It's a sad smile when the upper lip middle part stays glued to same height as when frowning).

After installing version 6.40.220045 I could get on a step of creation of a portrait. I haven't noticed serious changes and my opinion about one thing hasn't changed.
I not the ophthalmologist, but I know precisely that the human eyeball is more mobile than that: Maximum Eyeball deviation to the left Maximum Eyeball deviation to the right Maximum Eyeball deviation upwards Maximum Eyeball deviation downwards
Why? Why It is immobilized and Why not to make it more mobile?

Houm... Sisilauncher has fixed my client and now portrait works, apparently. Also, somehow, my character has got long eyelashes! They look great when she blinks...
Will test further later on.

I have the feeling there is a little change. I think some bloodlines are now more .... how can I say it..... they are "more inline with the old system". I have the feeling that, for example the amarr bloodline are now "more cartoon like"... I know many folks liked that way, I¦m personally not sure about it. I like the feeling to be free and have more to play and to adjust.
Mabye it was just a feeling... I haven¦t play/test with all bloodlines right now... I think, maybe a little more freedom in the wings of the nose - so that we can sculpting them more up and down - would help.
The 2nd point, I think is mentioned before: More Faction backrounds... pirat factions and the Khanid Kingdom, Thukker, Intaki, Ammatar etc etc... I think many RP would love it.

Add : I love freckles, but this is strange: If freckles = 1 or 2 there are no freckles on a body. If freckles = 3(Max) there are is a lot of freckles everywhere. Freckles happen only on the face, happen only on a body, happen both on a body and on the face. Happens that it is not enough of them on a body, but it is a lot of on the face and on the contrary.

Probably because the eyes already cause problems with the eyelids and eyelashes when looking other than straight ahead. And since it seems the character is looking something that is 10 cm from its face as the look is already very cross-eyed. I guess the constriction comes from the pupil that's turned towards the nose as it's as far as it can go naturally.
So make the eye to focus a little further and this may allow more extreme movement of the eye.
For example the Gallente Intaki male. As you angle the sight to the side the eyeball is clipping part of the upper and lower eyelid. In addition the eyelash does not follow the upper eyelid in a constant matter.
But what HAS improved is the lighting in posing phase, it's much more pleasant when the character looks upwards. Now the eyes have some nice reflections. A big improvement. |

With the hard work put into the character creator, why the hell cant you make the characters smile or grimace ? Only takes a tweak of the side lip and face muscles.
Would be of benefit to include this , it would increase the number of different permutations for the finsihed characters and give a more real touch to the finished character.

Maybe. Feeling like... one eye touches a nose and by that doesn't allow to move to the second eye further. Eyes should be mobile so how much it is shown on pictures: Picture1 Picture2 Picture3

Yeah, good examples. One part of the problem has to be the eyelid - eyeball interaction. As the eyeball is not a perfect sphere (the cornea makes a "bump") the eyelid needs to be able to conform to the contours of the eye. Otherwise we get the current clipping with the eye and corners of the eye. Very evident during customization, at least on the Intaki male it looks pretty horrid as he tries to look at me when I'm viewing his side profile.

On your example the downwards and sideways looking eye will "distort" the lower eyelid also (pictures 3 and 6):

Is there any info on why Minmatar Sebiestors only have 7 hair colors available, while every other bloodline has a far greater colorrange? Is this still subject to change?

I would just like to point out that the high shader setting is almost unbearably slow on my machine. I have a dell inspiron 1545 with 2gb ram. I can run eve pretty well no problem but not the character editor. Is there some setting I could activate to make this more manageable or does my computer just suck the big one? I have worked with the character creator again, and was able to find the Blue color for hair. Thank you very much CCP! Collars on outerwear appear to be improved, or maybe it's just my mood at this particular time (It's cold where I am living currently)
However, I wasn't able to find a convincing and realistic Green for the Gallente hair. Our Natural Greenheads could use some love also.
Another thing that I have noticed is that the color pallet which is used to select colors will be translucent and hard to see clearly sometimes, and will disappear even when the mouse is hovering near it, and sometimes won't register clicking against it. The problem doesn't seem to be the color pallet for hair, but I did notice it when dealing with eyes and lipstick.
One last thing, Is there a way to manipulate a character's height? To make them shorter or taller? I don't recall seeing that slider.

It's a laptop so it's very likely that it has only integrated graphics via the chipset. Good for office applications. Or perhaps an ATI "external" chip, a little bit better, but not much. |

Well I reactivated my account again recently and was kindly reactivated on SiSi. I cannot however, make my new character. Problem? It asks if I want to make the new character and I click yes, it goes through the loading shinanigans and gets stuck loading at the very end of Entering Character Creation. And that's pretty much it. Yesterday I think I caught a glimpse of a face with blue lines on it, just as I clicked "End Program" on my ctrl+alt+del thingy. As you may have noticed, I'm not very gifted in the technological department, not only is my computer not great, but I haven't a clue what it is/does/has. Anyone else had a similar problem to this in the past?

There are colored light choices (7 for each major lighting choice) just not that many and most will not light the whole scene with just one color. If you want a blue face you have to turn to face the blue tinted light more directly. But there should be an easier way to actually control the lights in portrait mode. |

Issue:
With High Quality Characters enabled (Shader Quality: High) only the head and parts of the shoulders, and the buttcrack (lol) are rendered.
My video-card is:
ATI Radeon X1900XT 512MB which supports SM 3.0 according to specs listings. -
