Hi... I've been playing on and off for quite some time. Haven't been flying a ship from a long time now, I've been mostly doing trading with alts. However now I find that most skills I would want on my main to be a good sub-capital pilot are in place... and I'd really like to be a good sub-capital pilot. But, I haven't been in touch with the game for quite some time, so I have no idea what works now, what's supposed to be piloted, what I should be piloting, what's the FotM or what I would like to be doing right now in EVE Online... what's cool to be doing right now. So, here's my char and skills... I'd like suggestions like... "screw combat, mining is the new sexy", or "join a 0.0 alliance and be a BS pilot" or whatever. I'll go for the most interesting and exciting idea. I also got 3 more mils to spend from unspent points I got back from my learning skills (I already spent some of them... I had all the basic and advanced learnings at 5).

You should pick up the weapon specialization skills. There's 2 for every weapon class (Hybrid has Railgun specialization and Blaster spec.)
This will let you use Tech 2 weapons, which will give you much more joy when you go to blow up something. There's also the Tech 2 ship types, which require new skillbooks by themselves, so something else to train for. Also, Thermodynamics under science allows you to overheat certain modules to push them farther. They're a noticeable boost in combat. Nanite operation and interfacing will let you repair damaged modules too from overheating for less paste.
Also, Eveboard.com put your character on there if it isn't. Lets you condense 4 or 5 posts into one :P
