I was playing around in EFT and I noticed that I could stack up some pretty insane EHP on a Tengu. So now I'm wondering how this fit might work out in the real world:
[Tengu, High Sec Transport] Inertia Stabilizers II Inertia Stabilizers II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Damage Control II
Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Invulnerability Field II Magnetic Scattering Amplifier II
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II [empty high slot] [empty high slot] [empty high slot] [empty high slot]
Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I Medium Core Defence Field Extender I Medium Core Defence Field Extender I
Tengu Defensive - Supplemental Screening Tengu Electronics - Obfuscation Manifold Tengu Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Tengu Offensive - Covert Reconfiguration Tengu Propulsion - Intercalated Nanofibers
According to EFT the numbers are thus: Omni EHP: 203,491 at all 5 (and for some reason 207,154 with my current skills) Explosive (weakest) EHP: 148,301 3 second align time And a Cov Ops cloak for that little added bonus.
So if I wanted to undock with a thousand PLEX in my cargohold, would this be the ship to do it in?
And what up with the EHP being higher with my skills, vs all 5?

There is no ship that are gank proof and tengus are popular to gank just because they normally die in one alpha from artys so you will be scanned when you undock and if you got 1000 gtc in cargo everyone will throw everything they have at you. also you have a big sig so you will take max dmg from the artys. but give it a go, PM me when you want to try and i can scout for you.
Reason why you have more ehp then all at 5 is because you have a 3% implant in your head that give more tank.

That thing is horrible.
But IF you must waste a perfectly good tengu that way, do it right.
3 x Nanofiber II 1 x DCU II 4 x LSE II 2 x Invul II 1 x EM II 1 x Cov.Ops. 4 x HML II 3 x M-extender rigs Will give you, better speed (273), better EHP (246K), same align time (3 sec), smaller sig (290).
And on top, WHEN you get suicide ganked, at least you can "steal" on the KM (and destroy their KB-rankings)
TOC
NB: Also, if used to transport PLEX, use t2 extender rigs, will add up to 278K ehp (Not that i personally think it'll matter...)

If you want to move 1000 plex, use an orca. People won't suicide ships they have no idea what they're carrying especially as they won't get any of the stuff they just blew up.
If you're going to haul with a EHP buffer, atleast use something cheap ie a bs. Parrots, commence!

Plug the explosive hole and use all passive amplifiers instead of hardeners. You wont get the chance to activate the hardeners unless you like religiously turning them all on after every jump and station exits. I'd take a Y-T8, 3 T2 LSE, 2 Mag Amp and 1 Exp Amp (use faction/complex stuffs for these better) and 3 CDFE.
It's highly gank resistant to small groups, but if you run into anti-freighter groups if could mean game over depending on how fast they can lock and de-cloak your Tengu (just by having an inty lock to prevent you from cloaking, but not fire at you) ... though for a sub-3sec aligned Tengu, the chances are very slim or next to impossible at the high-sec gates. That only leaves station exit vulnerability - so you'll need a good insta-undock.
Best ship for high value stuffs in high-sec is the Orca using it's Corp Hangar. Use the 10 sec align trick if you prefer more agility over buffer. The Tengu is a superb 0.0 nullified covops ship however and it excels at this role.

Best way to move plexes:
[Buzzard, Stop being AFK.] Inertia Stabilizers II Inertia Stabilizers II
Catalyzed Cold-Gas I Arcjet Thrusters [empty med slot] [empty med slot] [empty med slot] [empty med slot]
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II [empty high slot] [empty high slot]
Small Low Friction Nozzle Joints II Small Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer I
With a full set of low-grade nomads and an AY-2, you align in 2.2 seconds, plus your cloak, and you're effectively uncatchable. And I honestly don't believe the "lock them before they cloak" BS, and won't until I see it myself.

Why dont you just use Orca. The corp hangar can not be scanned and if you are popped then nothing drops to be looted. It's not as agile, but with MWD cycle it warps still in 10 sec. Have few slots as well for some hp buffer.

Before I react to this, Tengu as a hauler, no offfense, is just.. well, let's stay polite, and say I think it's a bad idea. You can get a Crane to do pretty much the same, what with the covops stuff and all, and have a much larger cargohold to boot.
As for him being scanned, though, when he undocks, this would only be a real issue at major market hubs, like Jita (where he buys his stuff to haul). Otherwise, on courier contracted stuff elsewhere, hard to imagine there's suicide ganking scouts scanning the exit of every station in EVE, so he'll probably be fine, there. --

I have an even better idea, don't move them at all.
There's no point in moving huge quantities of plexes other than being a gank & lol magnet. If ppl in low/0.0 want their plexes they can buy them from your contract by flying to jita/anywhere in the region they're being sold at and reclaim them at the station.

Obviously PLEX was a bad example... This isn't my first day in Eve. I'm no where near stupid enough to undock with any PLEX in my cargohold, much less a thousand of them.

Have a Crane, it has 1/6 the EHP, a slower align, and I don't need the extra cargo space.

I imagine he wants to get GTC's cheap in Jita, sell them for an additional 40+ mil a pop in low sec.
Just make an alt, sit it in Jita, and buy/apply time in Jita. Don't have to apply the time with your main.

I'm pretty sure CCP went pathetically carebear and disallowed moving of plexes. Unless they suddenly got more hardcore and changed it.
Anyone know if it's possible?

It is. Then someone lost 70 of them in a T1 frigateà

Pretty much anything with a covert ops cloak should work fine in highsec. Use insta undocks to get out of stations and always cloak as soon as you as you can.
It is incredibly unlikely you will get randomly ganked because the gankers won't have ample time to search your hold for valuables.
