I saw the Modulated Deep Core Miner II is now for sale. It mines the same amount of ore as it's predessor, but uses crystals to increase the yield. But there doesn't seem to exist mercoxit crystals, does it has a build in mercoxit crystal (like the Modulated Strip II has a build in veld crystal) or is there just no faster way to mine more mercoxit (yet)?

Keep in mind that with ship and skill bonuses, a MDCM2 on a large barge actually pulls in 214m3 per cycle each, or the equivalent of 5 DCMs. You can't get more than 1 mercoxit per DCM due to rounding losses, but you can get up to 5 per cycle per MDCM2 due to the larger amount mined per cycle.
Once the mercoxit crystal comes in, that should double the output, making a large barge pull in 10 mercoxit per minute.
Another very nice benefit is that the range of the MDCM2 - 10km - should keep you outside the damage cloud. |

They are in the research queue right now.

People who use my mDCM's say they get the yield bonuses, so they actually outperform DCMI.
Crystals should be added in next client patch.

Another good thing about the t2 version is the 10 km range. Damage coulds only reach out like 5 km right? ---------------------------

1. mDCM IIs Have built-in Mercoxit Crystals. They cannot be removed, jsut overridden by using the modular crystals. This is to prevent some barge driver from loading up his mSM IIs with Mercoxit crystals and going to town.
2. mDCM IIs are the replacement for the Miner IIs we've all come to love/hate. With Crystals, they will outmine any other T1 or T2 miner except the mSM II, which is of course limited to barges and unable to mine Mercoxit.
3. mDCM IIs have a range of 10Km, avoiding the Damag Cloud all together.
4. With maximum skills, you will only EVER be able to pull in 4 units of mercoxite per THREE MINUTE CYCLE, vs the DCM I's 1 unit per ONE MINUTE CYCLE. Putting an mDCM II on a barge is no better than on a BShip, in fact, it's better to BShip mine with mDCM IIs, espcially later with crystals, than it is with Miner IIs, or mDCM IIs on a barge.

The fitting cost of the tech version that you would be hard pressed to be able to fit DCMs in all high slots and have cap to sustain it.
Not it is easy :-D

with someone to cap trasnfer to you, and osprey is the best dcm miner wiht cruier 5, mining 5 astro 5, it gets 3 mercoxit/laser/minute because of the 100% yelid bonus at lvl 5
