I'm watching Domain almost a year now, and I spotted several sites, which need to be taking care of: Murema (0.7), Jambu (0.5), Charra (0.8) and Warouh (0.5) Warouh has got an ice-belt, so it's always full of mackis, maybe orcas are there too. In Charra I spotted a possible macro miner in a hulk, always there. Sources told me, that there are corps, who run into low-sec to mine during hulkageddon, but we'll organize some patrol-runs, to elminate 'em. ***************************************** Lordan Endericcson, CEO of Clan Astreia ***************************************** |

Hmmm...I been mining in Charra for the last couple of weeks while at work. When at work I dont respond to local, bumping, convo's etc. and mine for pretty much 10 hours straight, then continue for a little longer when I get home. I hope your not implying that I am the Bot just because I am anti- social.

Lets be honest, some miners just can't be bothered to answer inane questions by self employed, self important and self elected vigilantes. Not all those who choose to ignore you are bots. Also those who make hulks and the like, wouldn't happen to have a financial interest in subsidising the prize giving for this gank fest against miners would they? Stop trying to justify why you want to take on unarmed unprotectable ships, instead of challenging other similar skilled, well equipped players. Isn't the truth really that your a bunch of cowards trying to improve your killboards with easy kills, and using hulkageddon greifer fest to settle scores and feed your pathetic egos.
Of course I could be wrong and your all very brave suicide gankers.

Edited by: Ares47 on 12/01/2011 15:14:54 Hello everyone - at the risk of sounding like an ass - umm how can I determine a bot from a real person?
Im a miner but I am also a mission runner with a healthy desire to destroy cancer bots.
I want to KILL KILL KILL............. I hope this does not make me a candidate for the group W bench.
Thanks for any input.
Oh and exactly what are the dates for Hulkageddon?

Good question above... I'm a new player trying to save up for a Retriever type mining ship... am I going to get Hulkageddon-ganked when I finally get my ship (about a week away, still training skills)?

You can't. That is the whole irony behind this thread. You could as well just post your unliked Hulk buddy and let some carebears with too much sec status (aka suicide gankers) do the rest. Tho I admit it's pretty funny.

So you guys all get your kicks from shooting people who cant fight back? I find it funny this is the biggest thing, I guess you were all bullied as kids.
Surely anyone that daren't leave high sec is going to earn nothing so doesn't really effect you and should these losers be punished for spending 6 weeks mining to buy a hulk. Then getting them fried. Fine taking anyone in low sec or 0.0 since that's why they're there but come on, why shouldn't you take on someone your own size.

Dude, I used to believe what you believed. and said the same things in the forums. I called anyone who participated in this, "bullies" and "thugs", and even equated this to a sick bullyfest that happened to someone I know in school (the bullies were handing out prizes for terrorizing nerds)
Then the following things happened:
I had an argument with my former corp boss and now best friend, who told me to read up on the history of New Eden and other information about how to really play the game on EVE's web site.
I then read Helicity's own comments on his blog: http://www.machine9.net/blog/?p=336
Those two things made me feel like an absolute (you-know-what) and I posted a lengthy apology on the forums to everyone that I called bullies and thugs. My apology can be found here: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1341520&page=1
I'm telling you this because you need to learn, as I did, how EVE really works. Hulkageddon is not unfair. The game is working as intended and designed.
Why not participate in Hulkageddon, or hold your own event to counter Hulkageddon? Ehnea Mehk ODATRIK Integrated Solutions |

You know... http://www.machine9.net/blog/?p=336 ...
makes perfect sense. I can admit, in all honesty, that someone starting out like myself isn't used to a situation where, having as little as we do this early in the game, we can have that quickly taken away. I need to alter my mentality from a "why you picking on my little self" to a "ok, you got me, but one of these days..."
Yes, it would be nice to have my little mining ship spared. However, Eve isn't supposed to be nice. Guess I'll have to strap on the steel-toed combat boots and leave the bunny slippers in the closet. Pity, they're so warm and fuzzy...

It's an attitude adjustment newcomers have to make. Some adjust well and the prey become the hunters. Others can't handle it and leave in the end. I will admit I was thinking of leaving because I was having trouble getting my head around the concept, but a talk from a former corpboss and good friend helped. It would be nice if it were possible to have the vets explain this to the newcomers when they arrive, but I know that is logistically not possible. Ehnea Mehk ODATRIK Integrated Solutions |

After you gank their Hulk, if he *****es at you in local it probably wasn't a bot.

You can't.
Yeah, right. As if a smart person can't tell. See the following post for an example.

While the thread may have some false sightings, these are clearly bots. For others, some may check out, some may not; in all cases caveat emptor.
