After reinstalling the game due to hard disk failure I had to setup my HUD again. Not to much of a problem but when I moved to my bookmarks things got tricky. The bookmarks where backed up on the server which was great but all my folder structure was gone. Now backing up every pilots bookmark folder structure on the server is impractical, 60,000 different configurations..... So can a feature be added to the people and places > places section allowing for this structure to be exported up to a file on clients? eg. Like in the "Fitting Management" section.

You can do this already afaik.
Look in your user documents under the Eve folder (not the Eve installation folder).
I uninstalled Eve for several months, and reinstalled it an all my bookmark folders were fine. I had never deleted the documents folder. Sarcasm - Because i'm too far away to strangle you. |

edit: which is hidden by default .

Ya I think you are right.
I am using Vista, and I think I remember having to show hidden files or something like that.
Regardless, it is possible to back them up manually fairly easily though. Sarcasm - Because i'm too far away to strangle you. |

Edited by: SpaceDCDC on 07/02/2011 22:36:52 I would expand this to more of Eve's client settings, to the extent that they can manage 100k configs for us. At any rate, +1.
We can back up client settings ourselves - but storing them in the cloud allows easier transition between computers, etc.
