Hello folks, since we now have this nice new video section, i'd like to ask if someone can help me out here..
I have a weird problem with Adobe Premiere while creating my new EVE video, i've just started using it so i'm kinda a noob with it.
i just finished the editing and hit export movie as film. I use no video, nor audio compression codec for export, i want to sort that later. The problem is now:
All the video clips are directly of fraps, all recorded at the same resolution (640x512) and the same fps (20).
The fraps clips i use which run at their original speed, look just fine in the final video. like this
But, all clips where i have applied a speed change (via right click -> speed) look like this in the final video...
i thought it might be a problem of the fraps codec when the files are played with a different speed?
anyone have an idea?
thanks, Schroni

*scratches head*
Sure ive seen this thread by you before :p. Ive had the same problem you have, when slowing down the video speed you get that odd distortion. Ive also seen it in a couple other videos. Unless someone has found a way around it im affraid simply not slowing the video down is the only option. Speeding up of course works fine. ----- Eris Discordia; I think the proper term is <3

Hmmm...strange.
The only thing I can think of is the type of workspace you are using in Premiere. Can't remember right now what it is called as I don't have the program here.
But when you start a new project you can choose which mode the program should work and render with (i.e. Windows Video, DV). Don't know what settings you have but try fiddeling with the settings there (i.e. square pixels, interlaced etc.). Looks like a NTSC-problem, just try other settings there.
Will look in to it more when I have the program in front of me.
