How much sensor strength do you need to resist NPC ECM jammers? I am looking at doing C5 wormholes and am curious how much sensor strength my fleet would need.

Unless I'm horribly mistaken, sleepers don't jam.

ECM is always chance based. You can half the chance of being jammed by doubling your sensor strength. Jamming the sleepers means they have zero chance of jamming you back! In addition, having a jamming ship active means the sleepers will be targeting them not you, effectively countering sleeper jamming! -- [Aussie players: join ANZAC channel] |

so your saying if a ECM boat is brought into the site, the sleepers will go only after him?
The reason I ask is because we plan to do it with Dual Logistics ships and having them jammed would be quite a problem.

You are mistaken. Sleepers do not use ECM.

You sir are misinformed. We have lived in C5/C6 for a year and a half and have never encountered an ECM using Sleeper.

Just fit an ECCM module of the appropriate type to your ship and call it good. That is usually enough to keep you from getting jammed more than once in a while.

Hrm, my mistake about sleepers using ECM. Bringing an ECM boat into a sleeper site will only help if the ECM is actively used. ECM generates more threat than mere DPS or RR. It is worth looking around for Rook and Scorpion fits though, tom make sure you understand what you are in for. That ECM boat is going to attract a lot of attention, and you will not have the luxury of maintaining a range advantage.

How many times does this have to be said... As per CCP Dev, npc ecm is purely flat chance based, sensor strength plays no role. ----- The above does not represent the opinions of my corp or alliance. |

Dev know nothing about the game (what a surprise). Somewhere is a threat of a person who tested npc-jamming with different ships with different sensorstrengths and it made a difference.
tl/dr: ECCM works on npc-jammer the same as on player-jammer.
