Hi all, I have understood that one tactic for getting kills in High-Sec without CONCORD taking revenge is to fool newbies into joining your corporation and then just shoot them down while you are doing missions with them. (Kinda strange of CCP to allow corpmates to kill eachother without consequences, but that is another matter)
Here is my question. If i go along with joining a corporation, but when he/she/they start targeting me i leave the corporation. Will this cause CONCORD to intervene when they shoot me? Or is there a delay before you can leave a corporation?

I don't think you can leave a corporation if not docked. However, I might be wrong. I know for a fact that you can't kick people from a corporation if they are in space. FIRE FRIENDSHIP TORPEDOES ! Louis's epic skill guide v1.1 |

Even if you happen to join one of these corps, and the game mechanisms allowed you to leave a corp in space, by the time you got through all the process, you'd be blown up already anyway. Also, even half-brained idiots like that would fit a point to prevent you from warping away, so by the time your ship targets back, you'd be scrammed already, so no escape either. Be prepared, consider your ship lost the moment you undock, whether you joined a corp or not, fit for PVP whenever you're not missioning and fight back if things go bad. I think the OP's intention is to cause Concord to spawn on his aggressor. However, you're right, the OP will likely be dead before he has clicked through the leave corp process even if it is allowed.
As mentioned I'm not sure whether this is allowed. CCP have moved to close a number of loopholes in this area that were being exploited.
1. The kicking of corp members while they were in the process of attacking a war target / corp mate in order to get them concorded. Thus corp members can only be kicked while docked now. 2. The joining corp after tracking down one of their war targets, landing on grid with them and approaching within scram range. I believe applications can only be accepted now if the applicant is either docked or no war targets of the corp are in system.
In both the above cases they relate to a corp action towards a member. Whether a member can choose to leave a corp while in space and under attack is different. But I'm sure there would have been outcry from the Merc corps if valid war targets could avoid a gank by dropping corp and it certainly would have happened if allowed, especially when they caught a nice shiny Maurader for example. So I would expect dropping corp has the same limitations as in 2. So it might be possible to drop corp if your attacker if a corp member rather than a war target.

I'm pretty sure you have to be in station no matter what to drop corp.
Also there are plenty of non agresive reasons to lock somone ( sheild transfers, remote sensor boosters, ect) and just because somone in corp is going to shoot you dosent mean they are going to blow up your ship. I shot corp mates all the time, somtimes just to hear them react on voice comps when their sheilds dissapear, however if I ever poped one of their ships id be buying them a new one shortly after.
As far as corps being able to shot their fellow members its how you practice pvp with eachother, don't let the few corps that scam recruits for easy targets lead you to being afraid to join a corp. |

Just to confirm, it is 100% impossible to leave a corp when in space. You need to be docked. The same logic applies when kicking a member from a corp; the player being kicked must be docked. |

So what the OP is saying is: "Can I exploit the system to murder people to increase my killboard with the protection of Concord?"

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure the OP was asking "If people use the lack of CONCORD for in-corp aggression to attack me, can I drop corp and turn the tables on them?" |

Yes. I was only looking for a way to make a potential exploit used against me backfire. |

1.) If you have roles, there is a 24h stasis where you have to wait before you can leave a corp. No roles = no stasis, button is instant.
2.) You can only leave a corp while docked. Same for kicking you out of the corp, can only be done when you are docked or logged off. Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. Somthing is only considered an exploit if somone is abusing an unintended game mechanic, and shoting corpies is deffinatly intended. |

1. Find a corp with a good size member count that have good standings. 2. Don't fly your shinny with them at first. If you are running mish with them then there will be enough of you to roll the mish with you in a frigate.
Trust is an expensive commoditee in New Eden, not to be given or received lightly.
3. Once you find a good PvE corp for your main start a second account and join that alt to Red vs Blue!
