To solve the hyperinflation problem we need to reduce isk hoarding. Here's how we do it.
At the turn of every year you need to file a tax return claiming all your assets. A set amount will be removed from your wallet.
0m-100m ---- No Tax 100m-300m ---- 20% 300m-800m ---- 40% 800m-1.2b ---- 50% 1.2b-2b ---- 70% 2b+ ---- 85%
This would remove isk from the economy and balance the market. It can be roleplayed to pay for concord.

I demand a 50 billion isk tax break for reading the OP's post (that's how bad it was)
however, i would like to see CONCORD popping people for tax evasion _____________________ Look down. Back up. Where are you? You're on a forum, with the alt your alt could post like. |

I agree there could be some TAX introduced but your numbers are way off the scale my friend. Also, it makes little sense to remove 85% from players that have 2.000.000.001 ISK while remove only 70% from someone who has 1.999.999.999. Taxation should always be progressive.
Also, it's just terrible in this form.

No, they would be more prominant, since all the sov null alliances would be taxed to extinction.

At the turn of every year I would just pay a whole lot of pod pilots just to pod you to kingdom come and file for no assets.

What crap, you really are a noob if you think that 2 billion isk is a lot by Eve standards.

Here's a thought, make the taxes based on your sec status. The higher your sec status with CONCORD the more tax you pay.

Just forget taxes altogether, it's just not worth the aggravation. You would also have to tax all the assets too to stop people cheating the taxman. Watch all those Titans get handed back at the end of the year.

I'd go for this if this was a linear "pay for X level of protection" function! Would function a bit like insurance, but with concord and response times, allowing sec status to be effectively removed from Highsec...
On the other hand, I see no real reason to do this but I felt like jumping on this train!

Then why do CONCORD and the faction police interfere in legitimate acts of aggression between us?

Because they like a quiet life and don't want hostilities escalating, unless they are getting something out of it, like a back hander. CONCORD are corrupt everyone knows that.

/triplefacepalm First, we don't have a hyperinflation problem. Second, HOARDED ISK is ISK out of circulation, so it will not increase inflation rates. In fact, the more ISK you hoard, a much more likely scenario is that inflation would be lower or even turn into deflation. Last but not least, hands off my friggin' wallet, you pinko commie . _

If you really want to go down the road of taxation CCP would base it on real world taxation:
So your numbers would actually look like this in reality:
0m-100m ---- 85% 100m-300m ---- 70% 300m-800m ---- 50% 800m-1.2b ---- 40% 1.2b-2b ---- 20% 2b+ ---- No Tax
That way looks more real than yours, in RL the rich stay rich and the poor get taxed into poverty.
:P

Hi ya.
There is no hyper-inflation. See the word NO.
Prices of Ravens (by the way is my favourite ship) is still more or less the same as it was many years ago. In fact, there is deflation.
LOL. 2003 Raven price was 99M. Today, it is 80M. LOL.
