Edited by: Darth Anonymous on 17/01/2011 20:46:26 Hi,
I am the Most Esteemed and Venerable Darth Anonymous, Member in MOST GOOD STANDING of the Right-Honourable Goonswarm Federation of Planets.
I want you nice guys to give me 10 billion ISK. I want to use that 10 billion ISK to start up and fund 3 accounts for three months +21 days (21-day referring myself) in PLEX.
These accounts will be used to extract Base Metals, Heavy Metals, Ionic Solutions, Noble Metals, Suspended Plasma, and Water from planets in 0.0 Deklein. This R0 will become Coolant, Enriched Uranium, Mechanical Parts, and Rocket Fuel. I will be selling these finished P2s on the local Deklein market at competitive prices, making myself a tidy amount of profit on top of the paltry 10 billion you will be giving me.
At present, I am doing PI with 5 eveguys and I am making approx 150m/day total across the 5 guys, with each using a 5-planet setup (4 extraction/p1 planets, 1 factory planet each). You are welcome to pod yourself down to Dek and check out our systems and then do math for yourself, or you can believe that our planets have hotspots of 3000+ units per 15-minutes cycle on a 5 hour extraction routine, and compare the local market prices. I update my extraction routines 4 times a day on 5-hour cycles (twice throughout the day, as soon as I wake up and right before bed), so I maximize output with reasonable effort.
Adding 9 more eveguys will take about a month of training total (each one takes about a week), which means I will have 2 months of 9 more guys each making me 30m/day; that works out to 270m/day across the 3 accounts, and 16.2 billion total across 60 days of use. I will of course be using each eveguy as soon as he comes out of the cooker, so actual profits (an extra 2 weeks off of 3 guys and an extra week off of 3 guys) will be closer to 19 billion. Even if prices fall to the lower range of my estimation for all of my planned goods, then I will be able to make up the 12 billion without issue in the time planned.
I choose to make 4 different things to hedge against any 1 commodity tanking due to overproduction. I can estimate each of my P2s selling for between 6k and 10k per unit over the course of the next 3 months.
I would be giving back 12 billion ISK total at the end of the bond offering, which is a total of 20% across 3 months.
Risks: I have been playing for 2 years but my main account is banned from the forums so there is no way for you to know that, but I have been playing actively that entire time. Oh and I am in goonswarm so this may possibly be a scam.
If you don't think it's a scam and would like to make potentially 20% on your investment in 3 months, reply here.

My price estimates are based on the present prices of things right now and the present quantities extractable right now. Both myself and a couple of the other logistics guys in my corp have looked around on SiSi quite a bit, and we've determined that the extraction numbers on a CCU4 planet pulling 1 P0->P1 should be roughly the same or slightly elevated depending on the new extraction program method used. The P1->P2 factory planet setup is not expected to change at all based on SiSi testing. Each of the eveguys I use just makes a single P2 product, with his 4 planets each producing 1 of 2 component P1s; i.e., one guy makes Mechanical Parts with 20 Advanced Processors on one planet, and his other 4 planets each have 10 basic processors making either Precious Metals out of Noble Metals, or Reactive Metals out of Base Metals. Since I am not producing more than a single R0->P1 chain on a given planet, the new changes to PI should not slow down my setup.

I can confirm that this is a person, who is now in Goonswarm, and has had an active account for almost two and a half years.
I will not opine on the validity of the business plan, except to mention that this person has access to 0.0 planets to do PI work on.
I have no idea if he's just going to disappear with your money, but I would note that a 20% interest rate over 3 months is better than the normal loans on the goon market, so it would make economic sense to raise cheaper money here.

Do you have any other outstanding debt?
Why don't you look for financing within Goonswarm/GoonWaffe?
Why now? Why did you not ask for this money a few months ago and why can't you just scale up over time reinvesting your own profits?
During these > 2 years you certainly have accumulated a few assets besides your existing characters - could you give us a rough estimate of your NAV?

Not wanting to poke holes in your businessplan, but why do you need 10B isk? 3 months x 3 accounts = ~3B isk
Where's that other 7B isk going?

edit2: would you mind telling us how long you have been in Goonswarm and whether you got in via regular application (link to your SA profile?) or got sponsored by an existing member?
I have no other outstanding debt. Kalrand if so inclined could confirm that I don't have any loan threads going with me as the debtor.
As Kalrand said, I can get investment capital cheaper from the public than I can from inside Goonswarm.
I've spent the past couple of months watching the market in Deklein and optimizing my network of characters for production. I've been slowly growing my PI empire from one character to three accounts now by reinvesting profits from the PI business. So far, I've been very happy with the amount of effort needed to get the ISK: mostly, it's clicking 60 buttons 4 times a day. I'm asking for ISK now because I presently feel that I understand the situation well enough to be reasonably certain of profitability, and because I want to greatly expand to twice as many accounts rather than slowly build up. I am also looking to do so right now because of the 90% reduction in clicking introduced in the coming patch.
As far as my net worth, I have 3 accounts presently. I pay for my accounts with PLEX, and I am a sub-capital pilot on all characters. Across all characters I have one Faction battleship in Empire, one faction-fit Tengu in Deklein, one T2-fit battleship in Deklein, 1 T2-fit Drake in Deklein, 1 T1-fit Drake in Deklein, some rigged bestowers for my planetary runs in Deklein, and some smaller ships scattered around; a couple of tackling frigates, an AML caracal, some cyno frigates, etc. Until recently I had a Harbinger BPO and some T1 cruiser BPOs; I liquidated those to pay for a Charon on one of my characters and a couple of months worth of PLEX to get my extra planetary interaction alt accounts going. I only rat when I project needing ISK for PLEX or something else because I hate grinding, so I've never got more than around a billion in my wallet though I have the assets and infrastructure in place for keeping myself going indefinitely.
The main reason I want to do this business expansion at all is because I want to raise money (via the profits of doing this) to get a Jump Freighter service off the ground; the alts used for this venture will eventually become covops or cyno alts, and I'll be reinvesting the capital I make off of this 3-month business into a Rhea. But that's neither here nor there.
I joined Goonswarm the normal way, with an SA account. I've also played STO and WOW with goons. :)

You have not taken into account the cost of appropriate ships, command centers, implants, planetary taxes, skill books, trade taxes and so on. During the course of the 2 months during which all 9 eveguys will be running their planets with nothing necessary for planetary interaction on the training queue, they will be also training into other ships that will assist in moving product around safely and efficiently both within Deklein and between Deklein and Jita. The total cost is paying for my entire planned PI business that would otherwise take me longer and/or a lot more grinding than I'd like to get off the ground.
Why should you pay for me to be super-cautious and set myself up to make more profit than I need? Because you get 20% of your investment back.

I do PI, I run a couple of characters, and you don't need 7B isk for appropriate ships, command centers, implants, planetary taxes, skill books, trade taxes and so on. Not only that, maybe you need the first three plexes, but with the isk you make you should be able to afford those additional Plexes without a hitch. Imho the business you propose only rally needs 1B isk to work, maybe 1.5B isk tops. If you need more, your doing it wrong or your using the isk for something else.
If this is a scam attempt, it's really badly executed because the business plan you claim obviously doesn't need that much isk. Or you don't know what your doing and that is it's own problem.
Also 20% over 3 months isn't exactly... much, it's little over 6% a month. Add to that the risk of incompetence or scam (unsure which of the two it is), I wouldn't advise investment in it.
Also keep in mind that 10B isk is a lot a very tempting amount to scam.

I think you are far overestimating how willing MD will be to invest in this.
Also, I'm going to step out of the way of this offering at this point. If you want me to be some kind of a 3rd party or something, we might be able to work something out, but I'm not even sure how much I would be able to help with the public.

Wishful thinking.
Why should I trust you more (expressed in lower interest) than your own Federation does?

Something I've spoken about over the last two years is that the internal, uncollateralized, loan rate between Goons hovers in the 10%/month range. The MD rate for something, even something unusually odd, if it finds funding, tends to be below this.
My first post ever talks about this as a business opportunity.
When I raised public money for my moon ventures, the reason for getting public money over Goon money is that it was simply cheaper.

10%? If they didn't trust each other they wouldn't loan money.
Goons are lazy, and that's what it takes to get them to bother funding a loan.
