I would like to also have one chance to re-design, I have not designed my avatar yet because I thought to give me time to mess around and get to know how the mechanics will work because I knew it was going to be PERMANENT.
Now I missed re-designing my character before having the new patch so getting the option of re-doing it is not with me, it was my fault - I could have gotten used to my character until I can have the extra option of redoing it because I am a CHOOSY mongoloid.
Question:
1. Is there a possibility of having another remap I mean re-design option even after the patch? is a petition still looked at?
2. They mentioned we will get to re-fix our characters sometime in the future. I want to know clues if this will be the same as the pay to change/edit portrait from what they had before.
Can anyone clarify?

If you still have yet to make a new avatar you will NOT have another chance to re-create it. They 'fixed' what people were 'crying' about hence why they are giving the ones who did make avatars already another chance at it.

For chrissake, the character creator has been on the test server for MONTHS. Nobody got multiple chances to make their character before. You claim you wanted to test the creator because you knew it would be permanent. You have three characters per account. Use the ones that aren't your main. Login to the test server. There are many ways this could have been avoided. ==================== ~/~ Sultan of Buruni |

Everyone will have another chance to redesign their character once they release scars/tattoo/percing but its not for soon since its in early phase of conception.

yes, technically.
because we will get a pop=up showing our final avatar. Thus if we want, we can say "no I don't want it" and go back to make another one.
Which is what the whole 2nd chance this is addressing.

can anyone clarify this?
like we will be having a third and final chance or we'll just have the luxury of adding tattoos but not altering appearance? as in changing shape of nose or whatever |

CCP has stated in a dev blog that sometime in the future you will be able to add tattoos, scarring (maybe like you got cut with a knife?), etc. in a future patch. I believe they likewise hinted that in a patch or expansion beyond that that you'll be able to modify your "look" on a fairly constant basis.
Right now however, you can only modify your look that you've recently created. If you haven't made a new portrait, you will not be able to modify the one you make once you accept it as the finalized version. However, as the new version shows what you're accepting before you accept it, you shouldn't accept it until you are happy with it. You have a while to figure it out. Try it on the test server maybe?

One of the original items for walking in stations was that you could train plastic surgery and sell your service to other players to allow them to alter there appearance.
This might be what they are referring to when they say you can alter your character on a regular basis in the future. Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congratulated by carebears for the actions. |

Can we get a Dev/Mod in here to confirm. Speculation is great and all but it can also lead to further confusion.

Originally by: Dev Blog We will be introducing the ability to repeatedly recustomize characters in a future release. The current plan is to introduce this at the same time as we release tattoos, scars and piercings so players can take advantage of these new assets. We are still in the early design phase, so we don't have any more details at present. Expect a devblog explaining more in the coming weeks.

I would practice, practice, practice, before I'd commit to a portrait. I've made portraits for 4 characters, 3 of which I remade (this being the last one) and they all turned out better.
It's hard but I'd wait until you're really happy, perhaps post some experiments so people can comment on it, before you make your final choice.
It took me a long time to make this one (and Khanids are really tough to make into a 'believable' non-asian!), and I've been practicing whenever possible on the test server since october 2010!
Good luck!!
PS you may be able to remake your character when tattoos are added but: - a) you don't know when - b) they didn't say you can also remodel your character (add different hair, beard); for all we know your shape will stay the same and you can only add tattoos and make a new photograph.
PS2 You look like Bernardo Gui from The Name of the Rose, the meanie inquisitor! :o

My advice is practice with a spare ALT slot if you have it.... or pay $20 in Feb when the pay to change comes back.
I was disappointed with the lack of variety, CPP should of added the ability to change hair colour on preset & on a RGB colour slider system.
Where's my extra bra's / give me my accessories, I want I want ! Where's my shoes Where's my gloves Where's my Cowboy Hat

There's nothing wrong with being asian, it's wrong to be forced to look like one when you don't want to.
