So Caldari sucks for faction warfare... I love being able to go and kill stuff and it's fun but what makes it suck is the corps and people in Caldari FW. They're all a bunch of mission runner. Which I have no problem with as i do it as well but the only talk in militia while a gal fleet camps the tama gate is. damsel and oh i'm mining and other bull****. The only corps that seem to be fighting draketrain and wolfs wont even talk to me cause they probably think i'm a spy. So basically I'm looking for suggestions. Would the other militias be better to join if so which one. Or should I just go back to missions. null is not an option I'm not excited about the politics and massive blob fests. I was thinking amarr but everyone says they're all role players which I'm not intersted in since i'm pretty casual. any help is appreciated or if a caldari fw corp that actually fights is out there i would like to join.

Stick with Caldari FW. I've never been apart of it, but if it's what you like to do then do it. Get some kills under your belt and people will think more of you. --- DIE |

I'm going to run PVP tutorials for anyone that wants to come along in the hour before downtime. Hopefully it will raise the quality of the PVP in the Caldari Militia which is abysmally low at the moment. I only ask that you pass the knowledge on to anyone that asks/wants/needs it. Check my bio for the details and convo me in game any time for advice if you are feeling overwhelmed by the extreme negativity in Caldari FW atm.

Ok no prob ... what system or constelation do you suggest i go i've been through the black rise low sec and all the systems around tama over the past week and all i see are 20 man gal fleets and a couple draketrain or wolfs members flying around. I havn't seen any 2-3 man gangs. which is why i was trying to join a corp and add two pilots so maybe there would be some action. Maybe I should just move my pvp ships to gal and join there militia at least then i could just follow their fleets around and maybe get some action.

Feffri,
Like the previous poster said, get out of Nourv. There are a couple nucleus systems in Black Rise where you can find like-minded Caldari FW corps. Enaluri, Eha, Rakapas, just to name a few. If you're new, there are a few corps that will take on someone that's learning. Hang out in some of these systems I named and get to know the occupants. If you want to participate, someone we'll take you under their wing. Move some PvP ships out to these systems and you'll find the actual fighting-side of Caldari FW is opened up to you.
Cheers, and good luck

The4 have been fighting and continue to fight, every single night :). The problem you are seeing is not a new one. Come out to Black Rise. Come fly with us and join us if its a good fit. Otherwise just keep X-ing up. The4 are mostly active in the late US TZ, draketrain and wolfsbrigade are mostly EU TZ. So that may make a big difference as to who you see active.

Ya, we tryed but 6 on 20 with ECM and logi support didn't work so well. They did fail at tackle so most of us got away.

Yep. I alway see The4 while stalking Tama. Take the leap move to low sec others will follow and things will turn. Stay in Nourv and your gates will always be camped.

I'm sure ill get flamed for this, since everyone here seems to be into FW, but if you are looking for pewpew, join a corporation that does high-sec war dec's.
The people that flame on it: 1. Null-sec: Blobs, and its just a slug fest in the end, ridiculously laggy etc, carebears think they are elite pvpers because they have been on 300 man ops and won. 2. Low-sec/FW: Ive never done FW, but from what I can see its more blobs etc.
Small gang high-sec wars is where its at imo, most of the time youll find corps that wont fight because theyre too busy missioning, or other corps/alliances that hug Jita, but as soon as you find a good corp to fight, youll never want to go back.
Please take what i say with a grain of salt (flamers) just throwing out an opinion to someone who seems overwhelmed by FW bull****.

One thing I've noticed, as Caldari, we seem to be falling into the trap of allowing our opponents to set the rules of engagement. Since they are setting the rules to their advantage and not to ours, we are suffering greater losses.
I have also noticed that not much consideration is given to fleet composition. I've been in engagements recently on the Tama gate where we have taken targets down to low armor, and then they warp off because nobody has a point to put on them. I'm talking about primaries, not random targets of opportunity.
I think we'd have much better outcomes if we'd attend to those two things, make sure we have enough pointers, and take the battle sway from the Nourv/Tama gate

Shalac - thats f&@king hilarious that you brought a disco fleet against them wish i could of seen that... but what happens if you accidently podded a militia member?
Von $ Dark - i have a couple ships out in blackrise now and I'm going to have my freighter ferry some more ships out there tonight.
Betterdent - Thanks for your post. I agree high sec war can be fun but as you stated most are missioners or miners who will just sit in station and there is a lot of time with no action. However as you said when you do find a corp willing to fight it can be lots of fun becausee you can bring out big ships in smaller gangs and only have to worry about the wt's takeing them out. I did high sec wars before this and I'm trying FW because there are more expierenced pvpers and I hope to get better by flying against people with more skill sp wise and game wise. Maybe I'll end up back in highsec missioning and doing wars again but we'll see. I guess as long as my isk holds out i'll be in fw.
Thanks everyone for your replies and hope to be killing gal and min militia out in black rise with my fellow militia members

It isnt that Gallente "blob" around. Caldari do it jsut as much as Gallente, and it isnt blobing it is a small gang of 6 that turns into 18 becaus epeople like to fly together. If you would ask me what corp I fly with I would say SLAPD is my ticker but GW is my corp. I fly with people in all corps in GW on a regular basis. Some of my favorite people to fly with arent in my corp.
Squids are failign due to lack of organization. They most likely will still lose the isk war but at least they woudl get more kills if they were organized.
Sat we had a fleet of like 18 or so. We easily took on a squid fleet of 25+ all outshipping us. It was like they kept coming and coming. This fight was on the tama gate. You should have killed a NUMBER of us but like the above said, no one had points so we just kept flying in and out.
As for low sec small fights, there out there but seriously who likes to fly alone? I will make a circle from Hey to Tama about twice before I then go scout for a pie fleet Every night I fly around in my crow from around 8:30 to 9:00 us time zone solo looking for fights and they are few and far between. Half the time I have to go gcc on some stupid netural playing orbit games with me.

Organization and lack of FCs has been a general issue in the cal militia for the last year or so...it has and is getting better...its a process thats taking longer than it should as corps drift in and out of militia. There is a solid core...but the core is only online for 1-2 hours at the same time...it is improving and I am happy to help it improve. I still think FW is the best easy pew pew out there.

This is why remote- "anything" takes only those with the highest levels of control and dedication :)...I went GCC repping you, WTF!?!? you shot me with you 2 guns...why do you have 2 guns on a logi boat?...
also funny is this moent
...something is jamming me...wtf...we are attacked 2 harbiners...they put jammers on their harbingers?...oh wait our BB is jamming me...he was sensor-boosting me earlier...oh look the harbies got away because i lost point due tot he jamming

- Null sec is far from being massive blob fests. If you speek by experience you haven't been lucky or if you think it's this way cause of others opinion...well...if they aren't in null anymore it's cause they were not good nor hardy enough for the task. Honestly null sec pvp is extremelly varied and is being practiced on a regular basis. Null is where the cash is and in order to keep that income not only people had to fight to aquire it but still has to fight to keep it. Think about it null is homme to great exciting pwepwe from small roams to 500+ men fleets, from frig roams to supercap fest etc.

Bloody - I speak of limited personal expierence and from my friends who live in null sec. Perhaps it's as you said and I was unlucky so if FW doesn't prove to be more eventful in the comming weeks perhaps I'll give null a full go to make sure I get the full expierence. Also I've noticed a lot of my problems comes from being in the hawaii timezone so It's difficult to be on for the bulk of the us and eu players so I think i just havn't been able to find a group of like minded players that are on when I am. Thanks for your input though bloody

you need to be in the bleak lands or devoid region for F/W by the sounds of it, unless you are gallente militia/caldari spy. In this case you need to be in nourv making fleets to jump into gallente F/W gangs in tama at planet 1. FW is good fun all the same and the missions can be done well in a sov bomber setup. I am seriously considering rejoining FW, as caldari militia, to blast out the missions again, y see the thing is most the galentee militia is sat in tama, so its really easy to mission for the caldari
